“Sylvain and Aicha's house is a perfect place to spend a few days of peaceful vacation, near the sea and to feel at home. Both are very attentive and pleasant. The large house and the private house are comfortable and clean and at the same time allow you to discover Senegalese life. Surrounded by fruit trees. I totally recommend it.”

The CAMPEMENT LE LAMANTIN facing the majestic river Casamance offers you the unique chance to escape the usual tourist routes, surround yourself with the spectacular nature of mangroves, forests, river, beach and rice fields and watch the mysterious MANATEE, an aquatic mammal that can only be seen in very few parts of the world. It is perfect for a relaxing stay in nature while you can discover the traditional life of an authentic fishing Diola village, Pointe Saint-Georges.
“Beautifully located property run by local people. Wonderful long beach with palm trees and mangroves (but when the tide is under water), nice for walking, watching crabs, swimming (at least if you don't mind the cloudy brown water) and looking for manatees. Yes, we actually saw them! : o) "only" brown backs appearing briefly, but where else do you have the chance to see African manatees ?! (There is a small tower from where you can easily watch them. Swimming is prohibited there.) The place is also perfect for shrimp lovers. They come with every meal and they are really delicious. But the food is not very varied. If you stay for several days, you either have to be a really big shrimp fan or have a meal somewhere else. (There is not much in the area, but there is still a camp with a restaurant nearby (unfortunately we only discovered it too late ...)). The footpath to Mlomp is very varied and beautiful. I can also highly recommend the tour to the viewing platform on a kapok tree in the nearby forest! Was much more spectacular than expected. All in all, great accommodation with hospitable, committed people in a really wonderful place!”
