A 1/2-minute walk to the fjord, where sea enthusiasts can rent rowboats and paddle boards. Feel free to cycle/walk to Atlanterhavsparken, Tueneset with its beach, trails, gazebos, and campfire area, as well as World War II bunkers. You can walk up to Sugarloaf from here. Enjoy the fantastic view from this idyllic granary located on Valderøya outside Ålesund. The granary is over a hundred years old, but it has been renovated. NOTE: The granary has electricity, but no running water or toilet. Guests can use the shower and toilet in the main house, which is 30 m away. The bathroom in the main house is used only by you guests, and access to the rest of the main house is restricted. There are 5 litres of water available in the refrigerator. The house is located at the end of Goksøyra with easy access to mountains and fjær. Only 30 min. walk to Fuglefjellet. It has been recently gently refurbished inside. The bathroom is brand new and is on the first floor. It is laid out with 6 sleeping places, but may be best suited for 4 people(2 double rooms). The third bedroom has 2 single beds. The stairs up to the bedrooms are steep. Screened patio and own garden. It takes 25 minutes to drive to the municipal center Fosnavåg.

Within an hour or two you can reach famous places such as Geiranger, Åndalsnes, Loen and the amazing bird island Runde. The Atlantic Park in Ålesund is also worth a visit. In Ørsta, 20 min. away, there are plenty of shops and restaurants.

The cabin is situated right next to some of the most beautiful fjords in Norway. in the summer you can experience whales swimming by, different birds and other animals. in the winter you can wake up and drive 30 minutes and go skiing in the mountains. You can also se beautiful northern lights (aurora borealis) here.

Edel House on Runde - by the path to Lundeura

Edel House is the oldest house in Goksøyr, and situated on the path to the mountain and birdrocks. It is built in 1816, so we can describe the house as a grand old lady, who like all elderly personages, has her quirks and personality, and we hope that you our guests will look upon these with mild friendly eyes and a holiday spirit.
