Our home is a great base camp for your outdoor adventures located in the heart of Wayne National Forest. 1.4 miles to the beach and 2 miles to Wildcat Hollow. This house is secluded and quiet. There is a fire pit out front of the home for unwinding in the evening. Enjoy the porch for morning coffee.

Located just 5 minutes from campus, this is a great place to unwind or the perfect home base to explore Athens, Ohio University, and the broader region. The studio layout is great for solo travelers, couples, and small families. We have over three miles of marked, wooded trails to explore (trail map provided) with sandstone cliffs and 2 waterfalls. Burr Oak Cabin

Burr Oak Cabin is nestled into the woods of Burr Oak State Park. Just a short walk or drive to Burr Oak Lake where you can enjoy fishing (license required), hiking, or boating. Hiking trails include various state park trails, the American Discovery Trail or the Buckeye Trail. Put in your own boat at the Dock 1 boat ramp (9.9 hp limit) or rent a kayak, canoe, fishing boat or pontoon boat. Rentals available April through October. We have wifi with a Roku smart Tv to stream.
