"Driftwood, your Hebridean escape by the sea"

ElizabethRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a fantastic stay at Driftwood- it was my grandparents’ first time to Lewis and it was the ideal base. Lovely big house, fantastic views and a good base for exploring Uig. Very well stocked, lots of amenities- we appreciated the air fryer and coffee machine!

Converted stables with fantastic beach views.

What a slice of Heaven on Earth! Richard’s cottage provided a restful and peaceful retreat for myself - tucked away in Uig - but not so far away as to easily explore the entire island. I flew into Stornoway, stopped by the CO-OP for a few groceries initially but found the little store in Uig expansive as to its offerings and accommodated all my needs for the rest of the trip. The kitchen is perfect for meals at the cottage and the rest of the space very beautifully crafted and clean. All views in this cottage are stunning as well as the surrounding landscape. Richard was a lovely host, living nearby on the property as well but never felt intrusive and was quite accommodating. He was very helpful as to recommendations to enjoy during my visit. I will definitely be back to enjoy such an exquisite place!!!

Luxury cottage by Clachtoll beach+hi speed WiFi

EllieRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The perfect base for our stay. Beautiful safe beach for swimming, lovely walks in both directions from Clachtoll. The house was warm and cosy, clean and well equipped. Plenty of information in the house on the local area. Assynt is stunning and it’s a beautiful drive north if you fancy exploring even further up the coast. Lynn was brilliant, the perfect host.

Clachanach Beag

Such a great property and facilities. Liz made us feel right at home even with some eggs from her chickens. Lovely Croft with sheep and 6 newly born lambs - didn’t need a TV. Good base to explore the whole of Lewis. Couldn’t fault it. Thank you very much.

The Bunker

NeilRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a fantastic 3 night stay at The Bunker. The location is amazing - remote and peaceful and literally on the waterfront. The property has been renovated with love and with no expense spared on the fixtures and fittings. It’s warm and cosy and very comfortable. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend to others. Christina’s communications were also quick and friendly.

3 bed home by the sea with mountain views

CharlotteRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Fantastic location overlooking the bay, with the most spectacular scenery and views to the mountains. Shona was a very responsive, accomodating and friendly host. The cottage was so homely, clean and peaceful, we didn't want to leave. We were even spoilt with warm and sunny weather in October and had a very close encounter with a pod of common dolphins on a boat tour with North Coast Sea Tours from Lochinver harbour. We enjoyed walks in Culag Woods down to the sea and up onto the moors on the Little Assynt Estate with more stunning views of the mountains as well as a lovely walk over to Ardvreck Castle on Loch Assynt. We saw many dragonfiles, lots of birdlife, including birds of prey and stonechat by the cottage and lots of mosses and lichens in the woodlands giving an otherworldy feel. Enjoyed learning about the geology of the area at Knockan Crag on route to the cottage too. A very special couple of days that we won't forget. The highlight of our holiday in the highlands of Scotland.
