A small cosy 'bush bach' nestled amongst the tree's. Quiet and secluded, close to swimming holes, cycle tracks and all that the Wairarapa has to offer. Compost toilet, shower, small kitchen with no wifi or tv.
“This a fantastic, peaceful little space with thoughtful touches. The spot itself is beautiful and relaxing, nestled in the bush but close enough to Featherston town for convenience. But what takes this over and above is Stephen and his family's incredible hospitality (without being 'too much') and their commitment to self-sufficiency and regeneration of their land, it will be exciting to see where they take this space next.”
Our self contained two bedroom cottage is on a small farm in the country in Mangaroa/Whitemans Valley. From the Upper Hutt City centre it is a mere 5 minutes drive over Wallaceville Hill . We are 5 minutes from Wallaceville railway station to take the train into Wellington. 40 minutes by car from Wellington city, the Inter-Island ferry and airport. We have amazing rural views while being close to town. Even if the cottage is marked 'unavailable', do request anyway. We may be able to assist.
“Definitely a place I would love to visit again. Staying with Mary and Graeme was like staying with friends. Helpful and accommodating without being intrusive, all was well taken care of for my near 3 week stay. I especially loved the fresh baked treats and loaf of bread. The cottage has views of the surrounding fields and is so peaceful, being off the main road, there are only sounds of abundant bird life and the occasional lamb in the distance. Missing my dog from home, it was great to be greeted by big friendly Beau the dog who loved and pat and a belly rub when I came back in the evenings.”
Ngawi is like coastal communities used to be - friendly and uncrowded. 3 bedroom beach house in the traditional & tranquil fishing village of Ngawi. Get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax. Modern and comfortable with amazing panoramic views over Cook Strait & Palliser Bay. You won't want to leave. (Christmas, New Years & Big 3 bookings must be booked direct, due to restrictions we encounter)
“Really lovely bach, with amazing views of the coast. Super spot. The folder of local history was really great. We also enjoyed the local fish and chips and hospitality at the fire station community hall bar on Saturday night!”
