Earth house vacation rentals in Cascade Range

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights in April for our 4 year anniversary. We found the location extremely beautiful and the cob house is unique in its design and decoration; we had a lot of fun staying here. We had the opportunity to feed the hosts’ sheep which was a highlight for us, as well as watching their dog Angus keep an eye on the sheep! The place is very private both from the hosts’ space as well as other neighbours. The location is close to the grocery store and beautiful beaches (though everything on Mayne is close to each other). The cob house is definitely rustic and you will likely encounter some spider or ant friends, whether that be inside the house or while venturing outside to the toilet or shower. Be prepared for insanely yummy fresh bread and jam upon arrival! Overall, we found our stay here to be extremely relaxing, and a nice disconnect from the busy atmosphere of the city.

Fred and Mary’s home was a peaceful getaway tucked amongst pink blossoming manzanita shrubs in the bud of spring and from their home, Mount Shasta seemed so close you could touch its peak. The way the sun cast its rays upon the mountain was one of the best scenes to enjoy for a slow, easy going morning. Easy to find, very clean and tidy, their home had a bright and cheerful feel. Fred was very personable and helpful! I would definitely stay at this sweet little cottage again.

Brandy is a great host, paying attention to small details as well as the bigger picture of guest comfort within the context of a community farm. The space was delightful and the surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended.

A wonderful, quiet off-grid experience out of the city. I personally was inspired by the entire place—a good reminder of how we perhaps once lived before the age of steel, concrete, and glass right angles everywhere.

If you need a very quiet getaway with amazing views, this is the place. I recommend getting everything done in town before making last couple mile drive, the dirt road to get to it is very rutted so be prepared. Quite literally a hobbit hole, watch your head 😅

Medieval nerds should love it! That isn't us exactly, but we still had a great time. The kids thought staying in a "castle" was super neat, and our youngest enjoyed dressing up as a knight and having his picture taken. It's a fun spot with everything necessary for a good night's stay.

This is my third stay at Talia’s but it won’t be my last. The more I visit, the more I find peace these magical surroundings.

A peaceful stay in a unique and charming home. We appreciated the pet friendly accomodations. The house was clean, well organized, the kitchen was well appointed and more than functional. We had a very comfortable stay, and would definitely return.

This is the second time we have stayed at Michael's place. What I like about the house itself is , although small it's layout allows for personal time. The loft let's you go off on your own to sleep or read or stretch while your house mate can comfortably read or work in the kitchen below with little disturbance. The Greenway (right down the steps) is so walkable with plenty of choice for transport or entertainment.

We really appreciated both the extra features like the pizza oven, sauna, hot-tub, etc., and the well equipped kitchen that seemed to have everything we needed to feel at home.

Such a nice, quiet and restful place to spend the weekend. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and great shower/tub and Marilyn was very kind, proactive in communicating and hospitable. Location is great too - near grocery store, some restaurants and some great nature areas. Would definitely return and recommend a stay here!

This place was nothing short of magical! It exceeded all of our expectations. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and gracious, even when we arrived past check in due to car issues. The cob house experience was magnificent. It was as if you were staying inside a piece of art. We slept so well! The sound of the creek rushed all night and welcomes us come morning along with the lush greenery that surrounded us. The wood fire hot tub was amazing!!! Our hosts even had the fire stoked for the hot tub and wood stove burning upon arrival. We experienced true meditation during our stay. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, whimsical and restorative experience!

Our visit was like Heaven on Earth! Incredibly peaceful, tranquil, and quiet. It was the perfect getaway as being surrounded by the gorgeous nature landscapes and rustic, cottagecore aesthetic ended up being such a therapeutic and rejuvenating experience! Not to mention the hospitality and the food were exceptionally amazing! We loved everything about our stay and can’t wait to return!
