Vacation rentals with a kayak in Cayuga County

We were looking for a central location to fit all of us for a late Christmas that allowed pets - this house was perfect! The host knew we were celebrating the holiday together and had a tree up with some decor that made us feel at home! Very clean, simple instructions, love the layout, and beautiful views off the back deck. Would love to return again in the future. Thank You for having us!

This is a great house in a beautiful place. Really great if you want to be outside and fully experience the lake. Walkout access to the lake and lots of "toys". We could see this being a lot of fun for groups of friends or couples as well. We were a family and it had what we needed, but could clearly support a more social setup too. Daniel was great. He called us as soon as we had a question and helped us several times. It had everything we wanted.

Owasco Lake is beautiful - crystal clear - and staying in Adam’s place almost felt like staying on a house boat since it’s RIGHT on/over the water. We loved hearing the waves lapping up against the shore and seeing the sun rise over the lake in the morning. The use of the 3 kayaks was great, and we also brought some inflatable SUPs for our kids - they had a blast on the lake. The house is also close to a Wegmans, a beautiful waterfall (Carpenter Falls), and a great brewery (Aurora Brewing Co). We all had a great time! The neighbors were SUPER friendly and Adam was very responsive to questions. The outdoor fire ‘pit’ on the patio was lovely, and there were plenty of life jackets and towels for the lake. My only complaint is that the house was a bit run down, and the middle bedroom was a bit warm because there was no AC in there. Overall though, a wonderful trip!

My family and I had a great stay over the holidays. The place was as described, with three good sized bedrooms, nice bathrooms, and plenty of common space. Very dog friendly and games available to keep everyone occupied. It’s nicely set back from the road to feel more private and allow the dogs to roam in the yard without worry. We did leash the dogs by the lake because it was partly frozen but not totally. We enjoyed spending time by the fire and watching the snow fall, beautiful spot!

This a phenomenal home right on the water. The pictures looked exactly like the AirBnB and it was more spacious than we thought. Check-in was very easy. There is also parking right out front which is very convenient. The hot tub was also extremely easy to use and we took full advantage! We will definitely be back, highly recommend.

Wow... What a great place and what an outstanding host. I am conflicted to highlight how wonderful this property is as I fear it will drive more competition finding availability when we go to revisit Tina's place. The location on the lake is perfect. The cove is calm, shallow, and provides local boaters with a nice location to "raft up" and create festive flotillas... Not noisy or obnoxious... just fun. The house is perfect... the large top deck is wonderful. The game room and lower-level bar area were perfect for us to hang out when our granddaughter went to sleep. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, silverware, pots, pans, gadgets, coffee makers, and a wonderful prep area. We cooked all but one evening and had multiple cooks working together with plenty of room. The house was clean and well maintained, and the local supermarket was well stocked (a little pricey...but you are on vacation, so don't think about it or take the short ride to Wegmans in Auburn). The location is really convenient to the whole Finger Lake region. As I started this review, this is a wonderful property and I hope I am not shooting myself in the foot by encouraging you to book it when we want to book it for our next visit. :-o

The location was a great choice for a nice, low key relaxing long weekend for our family of eight. The amenities the house provided far exceeded our expectations...from a fully stocked kitchen, including spices, etc. to a storage shed with several outdoor games and lake accessories, e.g. kayaks, life vests, tubes, floats, etc. Ample parking, easy access and the host was very accommodating with our flight schedules. Highly recommend!

Perfect for a family vacation on the lake! The house was spacious enough for 6 adults, a baby, and a dog. Beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked. The deck and bbq was great for enjoying meals overlooking the lake. We had lots of fun taking out the kayaks and paddle boards.

We highly enjoying our stay at Samantha’s cottage. It was a beautiful weekend getaway and the fall foliage made it even better!! The kitchen was extremely clean, and had everything we needed to cook meals during our stay. We weren’t there long enough to use the washer and dryer but I was grateful to have it if needed. The house has lots of natural sunlight, and the covered porch was great when it rained or when we didn’t want to make the walk down to the lake.

Perfect location on the lake. Beautiful cabin with plenty of space for all four of us adults. I would 100% recommend this location especially in the summer when you can use the kayaks (it was a little cold this time of year for us). Host was quick to respond and super helpful! Thank you!!!

We had a wonderful stay hanging out near the rivers edge. We were provided with ample firewood and smores as a welcome gift :) very thoughtful. We look forward to coming back during summer to do some kayaking

The house was clean and conveniently located. We found it to be very comfortable and cozy. The host provided a complimentary bottle of wine from the local vineyard which was very thoughtful. They also provided recommendations on what to do in the area. The only negative was that we thought the cleaning fee was a little high, especially when the host asks you to put the linens by the washer and to take the trash out to the dumpster at the end of the road. Overall we enjoyed our short overnight stay.

Location, location, location! Right on the water, hot tub was great, comfortable place and it was just perfect for us. We loved the local wineries and other activities and it was so nice to come back to that beautiful lake view at the end of the day. Thanks so much Nick and Chrissy! We would love to come back one day.

We had an incredible time at Jesse and Bernadette’s!! 10/10 would stay here the next time we visit the Finger Lakes. Truly magical. Falling asleep to the sound of the lake was a definite highlight.

The stay was absolutely wonderful! The house was impeccably clean, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The view was nothing short of breathtaking, offering a perfect backdrop for relaxation and unforgettable moments. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Perfect lake location with a large flat yard and beach. Perfect for the grandchildren. Lots of water craft for guest use. Surprisingly little boat traffic on this part of the lake. Plenty of outdoor seating.Easy drive into town for supplies and dining. Hiking trails accessible right from the property. Cottage is rustic and quirky and about 100 yrs old but worked out fine for our family of 6 adults and 2 kids under 5. Kitchen was well supplied, nice sized living room for hanging out on rainy days (thanks hurricane Debby!). Big dining table for eating and playing board games. Washer/dryer came in handy. Plenty of towels! Jackie was a great host. Very responsive. We all fell in love with the amazing lakefront and would definitely return.

I have stayed at a few Air BnBs over the years, and Nick's place was by far my favorite. We picked this location originally because it was four minutes from our favorite restaurant, but as time went by, we would stay again because of the host, Nick. Our dates needed to be extremely flexible because we were traveling for a health thing. Finding a host that would be okay with this added so much extra stress. Thankfully we found this house. Because of Nick, we had a stress-free experience and experienced so much kindness in a world that doesn't show it often enough. The house was great, close to all locations we love and was very clean. Our only complaint was totally not on the house, but the obnoxious geese that flew in right when we arrived and didn't leave until the next morning, honking the entire night. Which is not a normal thing, since we have stayed in the Finger Lakes over five times. My animal lover soul secretly loved it though!

Such a quant, cozy cabin. I loved that everything in the kitchen/bathroom were labeled, making finding anything we needed easy. Would love to come back in the spring/summer to fully enjoy the beautiful property. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nancy’s cottage was perfect for our little family of 4. We enjoyed card games on the back porch, meals al fresco w a beautiful lake view, and of course roasting marshmallows in the fire pit at sunset. The cottage was intimate and cozy and we hope to return on a regular basis. Thank you Nancy for being inviting and more than accommodating.

Relaxing, peaceful, perfectly described and well equipped. Not only was this place ideal for our family during our extended stay, the hosts were amazing. Kind, reachable and helpful. Would recommend, just understand lake living. Loved it!
