Vacation rentals with a kayak in Central America

We have stayed at some really nice Airbnbs in the past, but this place exceeded our expectations in every way. The grounds, the house and the staff are absolutely incredible. We are already looking at dates to book another dedicated trip to this house. If the house is available for your travel dates, consider yourself lucky. I'm afraid the secret is out!

Very nice place, host very friendly

Bocas Del Toro is an amazing place. This rental is close enough to the town of Bocas but far enough away for a peaceful and serene experience. Right next door there’s a great beach club called Pipa which has outstanding food, drink, and people. M The private pool was clean and refreshing. You literally go to sleep listening to the waves crash on the shore. We rented scooters the entire time we were there. The scooters were safe to leave in the front yard of the rental. Just rent this place!

We really enjoyed our orange home stay. The house is very comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped for cooking, the bed in the main room is large, comfortable and with a beautiful view. The part we liked the most is the terrace, with its armchair where we could spend nice evenings, with direct access to the sea. The common spaces are very nice, tenes sup, kayak, mascaras para snorkel y mats de yoga para uso quan quiero. The rooms are on the first floor and the bathroom on the ground floor. It is approximately 1500 meters away from downtown, which was not an impediment as we were walking. 300meters approx. You have a supermarket for shopping. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much for everything!!

Staying here absolutely felt like paradise. The garden was beautiful and the views were amazing. The houses were very charming and decorated in a traditional style. Irma was the sweetest. She made breakfast everyday and cleaned up all the houses. She also helped us arrange tuk tuks and boat tours by her husband Boris. We will never forget this experience. It was absolutely heaven on earth.

We have stayed at Casa Isabelita multiple times. It is always so peaceful. We hope to stay again.

This house and the pool and the dock area are all wonderful. Very peaceful and was exactly what I was hoping it would be. My husband and I had the upstairs suite and my son and his girlfriend had the downstairs suite. There was plenty of space. The golf cart was a great add on. We toured into town and beyond a lot. The only negative was that it had rained a lot while we were there and it made the road very hard to drive. The 3 miles down the gravel to the pavement took us up to twenty minutes to drive. I seen on line that they fixed it the day after we left. Of course. We sat on the dock and watched the fish and stingrays. Pretty cool. We kayaked and fished as well. Everything we needed was there. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone wanting a beautiful home with an amazing view.

We had an amazing experience at this property! The gardens are absolutely stunning, and the yacht club is both beautiful and inviting. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Absolutely loved the kayak. However, we did encounter a few challenges. Access to the area can be a bit difficult, so we recommend arriving by 4x4 vehicle, boat, or tuk tuk. Additionally, it would have been helpful to know in advance that the "parking by premises" is located in a separate lot, not directly at the house. Unfortunately, we found ourselves stuck in the grass for a few days and were unable to move our vehicle. Thankfully, the gardener was kind enough to assist us in getting our van out. While the home itself is charming, it is slightly older compared to others in the area. The cabin could benefit from some updates, and we would caution families with young children, as there are no safety rails around the property. Overall, it’s a lovely place, but there are a few areas for improvement.

Beautiful place for a few days of rest on Lake Atitlan. Quiet, private and with excellent complementary services (my husband and I use the Jacuzzi overlooking the lake, sauna and kayaks). The room is comfortable and the kitchen area open and with garden is very nice.

Great place and location. Comfortable beds and each bedroom had great AC. The kayaks were a fun touch. Very responsive host. Would stay here again.

We loved our stay at Maya Moon Cottage! Beautiful location and setting. Flowers Vacation Rentals provided thorough instructions, and were friendly and responsive. The home was clean, well-equipped, and felt private from the larger guest house on the property. Like many past guests, we frequented the pool at the hotel next door. The cottage is about a 20 minute drive from the village of Placencia, so we were glad we rented a car for our family. Getting around was easy (speed bumps, beware!) and there are so many amazing local restaurants to discover.

We really enjoyed staying at Horizons. Laga and Sophia were very friendly and kind and helped us with all our questions and problems (e.g. what to do after a unwanted jellyfish-hug). The location of the bungalow is amazing and it has everything one needs to spend some time by the ocean and relax.

Wonderful stay. A really nice little cottage, just as described, very beautiful. The beach isn't super swimmable (lots of sea grass), but there are kayaks which were fun, and if you go far enough you can do some snorkeling. The area is so quiet and peaceful, the exact opposite of West Bay/West End. Great location for kids with the small pool, our kids loved it and spent hours there. You really need a car rental to get around and get groceries, there are few eating options that are walkable. We loved our stay!

Everything was picture perfect. It is a wonderful place to lay back and relax. Everything that you need is in walking distance. We walked a lot. Rented a golf cart from them for two days, but enjoyed walking more. Everything is local and there are great restaurants to eat at each day. Each day can be in a different place if you like. Went on a Mayan tour and was picked up at the bnb. It was a perfect vacation, can't say enough good things about the place. Not cheap, but well worth the cost!

Absolutely phantasmagoric place to stay and within reach of the downtown city center. Ask the staff for recommendations for contact information for lancha drivers, cabs, or guides. Beautiful place. Extremely kind and supportive people. Great restaurant. Amazing space to relax and be engulfed in the views and nature all around you.

A beautiful place, completely isolated, wonderful if you are looking to relax, absolutely recommended if that is what you are looking for, and the host is super friendly and attentive

Nice place for relaxing, David was very helpful. The showers are literally the best hot showers I’ve ever had in my life, not even exaggerating. So powerful and hot, and solar powered which was cool. It’s right in front of the Tzununa dock, but there was a lot of construction work on the public infrastructure when I was there (David mentioned it was terrible timing in peak season). I highly recommend not taking a suitcase there, and be prepared to be a little tired because everything requires walking up and down. You need to make sure you take ear plugs, because the cabins are next to the road and although it is only an occasional car, because they are wooden means it sounds like you are next to them. Basically 1 shop and 1 restaurant within a 10 minute walk, so it’s very secluded. Eat before 6pm or you’re not going to get any food without taking a tuk tuk into town. David was very helpful, would stay here again but definitely travel lighter.

Everything was great, but I'm glad we had a 4x4 because otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get to the house. The space was beautiful, the hosts were great, and Don Tomas y Doña Naty were very attentive to every possible need. Absolutely amazing experience.

we loved this place so much we stayed for the second time in 8 days. this is the best place in the area and we will stay here when we travel to the Arenal area. so peaceful and quiet with all kinds of birds and the trees, plants and flowers especially on the walking trails. it's a fairly short walk but worth the time. close to town to walk to everything. the pool is so nice and private. the inside of the cabin is well equipped with comfortable King bed and great shower. the hammock is a nice touch. love this place and highly recommend it because it's awesome and Mau is a great host.

This is our second stay at The Artist's Loft and it was just as peaceful as the first time in 2017. The view is breathtaking and I feel the best view of Lake Atitlan. The house is spacious, sunny and airy. I enjoyed the firm bed. The staff, Dorca, Milka and Nathanael were helpful and responsive. We enjoyed reading on the deck and had almost all our meals there. I became friends with the parrot Victoria and became attached to her. Everytime I saw her she made me laugh. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Just a magical place! No, these are not "fancy" accommodations, but they are not meant to be. The cabin is intended to blend with the surroundings. You feel as if you are in the jungle yet steps away from the pristine Caribbean waters. Beds were comfortable and all amenities needed were available. If you enjoy nature, strolling and exploring beautiful landscapes, and combing the private shorelines for shells and other treasures, this place is for you.

We are a family of 4 (1 currently living in Guatemala) and we absolutely loved this home. Note that it is a family home passed down through generations and is a bit rustic, and requires visitors to be mindful. Some features such as the windows need to be treated with care. The grounds are extraordinary and walkable. The guardian Juan José was available to help if we needed anything including shopping for our BBQ. He lit an outdoor fire and we relaxed under the stars. We made use of paddle boards and kyack. I can't say enough about how helpful Joaquin was before during and after our stay. Thank you thank you

LOVED the whole experience! If you have never slept over the water, this is your chance to do so! Breathtaking view! The food that was provided was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again and would recommend to other guests! Thanks again for the amazing experience!
