Comfortable, spacious room with double bed in Covent Garden apartment (81 stairs up, no lift) with shared living room, bathroom and well-equipped kitchen and fast wifi. Friends describe the decor as shabby, cosy, warm and welcoming. Bang in the centre of Theatreland, just beside Soho, Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery, it's a minute to the Piccadilly and Northern tube-lines. Evenings can be a bit noisy from street socialising and early morning when lorries deliver to restaurants.
“We stayed in London under stressful and unexpected circumstances, but Ruth’s manner and kindness made everything so much more manageable and even enjoyable. Ruth’s home is ideally located amongst the theatres, a 5-minute walk from the Royal Opera House and a few seconds from the underground. She has added so many lovely and thoughtful touches that I’ve never experienced in other Airbnb accommodation. It’s the first time I have ever booked a room rather than an entire apartment, but I enjoyed it so much, that next time I’m in London, I really hope Ruth’s place will be available.”
A lovely little bedroom, huge shared bathroom & king size antique iron bed. The absolute heart of Covent Garden. Walking distance from all major shows & attractions. A lovely bedroom, beautifully decorated & furnished. Only two minutes from Covent Garden Underground station with direct access to Heathrow & the London Transport network. "If I could give Jason’s place 6 stars, I would. " Rosemary, August 2018 **********************************************************
An exciting opportunity to stay in a unique part of London, which is Covent Garden. Enjoy the diversity with its quirky market stalls, pubs, street entertainment and so much more. Enjoy a meal in one of the numerous local restaurants, or book a night at the opera or theatre.
“Michael's place is what Airbnb used to be and should always be. The location is unbeatable in central London- literally less than two minutes walking from the Covent Garden station (Piccadilly line, which comes direct from Heathrow). The neighborhood is chock full of stores and restaurants of all genres, and it's a short walk to many of the sights on your to do list. It felt safe at all times of the day and night. The place itself is perfect for the solo traveller, perfect size with plenty of storage room and spotlessly clean throughout. The shared bathroom was never a problem in terms of access, toiletries were provided, and towels and linens a touch above common. Michael is the host Airbnb would put in its advertising. Communication was prompt and more efficient with useful information than any other Airbnb where I've stayed. He provides useful tips about local restaurants, pubs, etc. and several thoughtful touches above and beyond expectations (fresh fruit and water in the room, turning the heat on so no chill if arriving back late night, coffee, tea, etc.). Check in and check out were a breeze, and he was thorough in explaining everything you'd want and need to know. Early/late luggage storage is also a bonus. And all this comes at an unbeatable price point/value! The length of this review reflects my enthusiasm about this without reservation recommendation. If you find Michael's place available for your time in London grab it and save yourself some time looking at other options.”
