Dead end street, even a school on the open end. Rx for rare quiet in Mexico: incessant barking dog; base tuned to 11; IF THE FEW PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE DO NOT BLOW IT WITH A 2:30am block party.

Roberto's studio was beautiful. Clean, quiet, in amongst many units. Beautiful gardens and fresh vegetables and herbs free to pick. I had many good organic and very fresh salads daily. Issac the caretaker was great. A peaceful and lovely time. Thanks

We enjoyed staying at Lesther's apartment. It was very close to the bus station and other terminals for transportation to various places. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I would stay there again.

Accommodation in a private residential subdivision, so there was always access control. Area close to places of interest in the city's northeastern sector. Very good service attitude from the host. Everything in the home was clean and working. I would stay there again or somewhere else this host administers.

We stayed here for two months, April and May. The best thing about this apartment is the beautiful view of San Cristobal and the surrounding mountains from the terrace. The wonderful host, Luis, who lives on the premises, was educated and well-traveled, and we enjoyed talking with him about the different places we had both been in the world. He was also always immediately responsive to any issues we might have. We have lived all over the world since leaving the US 20 months ago, and the kitchen was quite large and, hands down, the best we have had anywhere. Also, we thought the beds were very comfortable. And the property also has its own washer and dryer. The house is divided into several Airbnb rentals. It is pretty walkable to El Centro and the Guadalupe Walking Street—about a 15 to 20-minute walk. In addition, there are restaurants, shops, a pharmacy and an OXXO close by. The park is about a half-block away, and it is easy and inexpensive to get a taxi from there to anywhere in San Cristobal. The downside would be the same as everywhere in Mexico that we have been—noise, although the internet (usually a problem) was actually pretty good here, and compared to other places we have been in Mexico, we really couldn’t complain much. The street has a fair amount of traffic, but we didn’t hear a lot of dogs barking, which is usually a big problem for us in Mexico; however, we did hear firecrackers—sometimes because of people celebrating a particular holiday. We never felt unsafe, especially walking at night, but we always stayed on the main streets in the main areas.

This is my third time staying in Casas del Lluvia and I'll be back! I love staying outside of the city, I need the peace of the mountains, the birds, the sunlight streaming in through the morning windows. It's about a 10 minute walk down to the main highway where you can hop in a taxi (50-70 pesos) or collectivo (10 pesos) to town (or you can get to bario Guadelupe by going up and over the hill avoiding the highway and the traffic) Vic, who takes care of the property, is a gem, always responsive and ready to help in any way he can with a smile. Daniella is as well - always responsive, friendly, welcoming. The apartments are beautiful - clean, spacious, artistic. The kitchen is great for cooking at home, and there's a shared patio that's lovely for a morning coffee or evening cocktail. It's also a wonderful place to work, high speed internet (Starlink) and a good desk. My only complaint is that I couldn't stay longer this year. One of my all time favorite places on the planet!

Barry’s place is absolutely beautiful! The architecture is stunning, with an open and spacious layout that makes it feel so relaxing. There are plants everywhere, which adds such a cozy and natural vibe. Both beds are incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook. Barry and Maria were excellent at communication—very prompt, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The house is about a 20-minute walk from the main city center, with the last 5 minutes being a bit uphill, but the peaceful surroundings and charm of the place make it well worth it. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend staying here!

Arely actively communicated with us during our stay and was fast to respond with our inquiries. We loved how we felt at home and her listing is ideal for a private comfortable stay for a big group of friends. Would recommend you have transportation in place for convenience, even though there is the option for taxis near the neighborhood. Overall, I would recommend you book this listing !

The place was very warm, super comfortable, clean, even stylish and modern. Very well equipped with necessities. Juan Carlos was always attentive to messages and any questions answered us. And the snack cart seemed like an excellent idea, the prices very accessible! We really enjoyed it !!!

There is no doubt that excellent location and all the services made us feel at home,(nearby are some food places and a market) if we travel again, we would not last in staying again in that beautiful place,in which we enjoyed cooking with family and even roasting courtes, thank you Rober for making the stay easier and being a good host,more blessings (do not hesitate to book with it)

We were enchanted by the pictured views and decided to splurge on this huge place for a few nights. It was a great experience all around. Well appointed kitchen(s) comfortable beds, bottled water, a modern washer and dryer and plenty of hot water.

the house was very Nice , he was available with sevices and helped us get around . but there are cameras inside the Home which Made me feel like i might be invaded into with conversations. a little pricey compared to other local places not listed on Airbnb. but over allí place was súper Nice and clean .

One thing I didn't anticipate coming from Palenque, it's cool at home! However, it is 2100 above sea level and the temperature of 14 degrees Celsius unpleasantly surprised me! Other than that, it's a wonderful place to get away from the bustling downtown San Christobal! It is a washer and dryer!!! Hot shower and comfy bed! View from the windows to the forest and the mountains!

Excellent location near the main square, commerce, restaurants , and places of interest, clean and tidy place, good attention from the hosts, I would come back to stay again without hesitation.

Very good accommodation if you need to spend the night in Tuxtla and you have pets. It is very close to main roads so it has easy exit to several sites. The parking lot is a bit narrow. The area is not beautiful but it is close to supermarkets and restaurants. The air conditioners work super and the space is spacious. The hosts are very responsive and the check-in instructions are very clear. Recommended.
