“There really isn’t any place quite like The Barn. We made our reservation last minute, as we were coming from the city and hadn’t decided to look for an airbnb until around 6pm. Lauren answered within minutes and promptly went to set up The Barn with everything we could possibly need for our short escape from New York City. She even typed out explicit directions so that we could figure out how to reach the property in the dark, being that it is at least a half mile off the main road and there is no service past the turnoff. Once we had arrived, we found ourselves stocked with logs for the wood stove in one of the most beautiful converted spaces we’ve had the pleasure of staying in. The dark wood is so warm and cozy, and we found ourselves happy to choose from a collection of DVDs (a lot of great 90s/early 2000s flicks!) rather than Netflix or HBO. It was so nice to be able to disconnect without internet or WiFi, knowing we could access it with intention by driving to the main road. Instead of checking our instagrams in the morning or being subjected to the bleak morning news, we woke to the pleasure of the rising sun and smell of coffee as we sat on the private patio overlooking a pond, in which a family of ducks have made their home. Lauren was happy to answer all of our questions, as well as recommended some hikes and swimming holes that are still open so long as you practice social distancing. She even let us know where a few trails on their property were! One of the highlights for us was using the fire pit and bbq, while Lauren’s dogs Chubs and Aurora payed us visits throughout the day. The property and view are absolutely stunning. All in all, we had an amazing time and can’t wait to plan our next trip to the Barn!”

“Tiffany's place was fantastic. My boyfriend and I decided to go away for the long Thanksgiving weekend and we not disappointed! There were amazing touches from a hefty stack of firewood for the wood burning stove to goodies for s'mores (that we definitely took advantage of). It was a great way to relax and unplug for a couple of days. Our only neighbor was nature and since we live in Brooklyn this was a nice change of pace. Thank you Tiffany and Julyan for your hospitality! We will definitely be back in the summer!”
