“THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN- THESE HOSTS AMAZING! Marie and Diego are wonderful hosts. I wake up each day to the birds singing and a rare silence not found in suburbs near New York City. Golden and sliver light streams in thru the windows. The churning charcoal blue waters of the Husdon River poke through the fingerlike branches of rhododendron and evergreen trees out front. The town of Piermont is right out of a Norman Rockwell painting, A simpler, kinder era. People smile and wave hello. There is a mile-long peninsula extending out into the Hudson River and great for a bike ride, run, fishing, or meditative stroll. The village center has a microcosm of everything one could need. Restaurants, shops, hair salons, bars, and a cute gourmet country market with wood-fired pizzas, freshly roasted chickens, salads, local organic farm produce. I wish my headline could read " Its bad, Stay Away." You know, like those secret undiscovered places that once a major story is posted and discovered, gets overrun, overbuilt, and the magic is lost. I'd like to keep this wonderful place a secret, but to be fair to Marie & Diego I have to share my experience, honestly. Winter, spring, summer, or fall- this place is magic. Larry D March 24th, 2020 Oh- Did I mention as a side note the hosts are both classical musicians who have performed with Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney? Better stay away ;-) wink, wink.”

“Couldn't pick a better location to be close to the city but also in a nice quiet neighborhood. Very homey, and the bathroom was fully stocked with soaps and other common amenities. The bed was very comfortable, and it was nice to have a mini-fridge in the room. Fernanda is sunny and responsive.”

“If you're planning a trip to New York on a budget like myself, Carleston's location is an excellent choice. There was plenty of room so I never really felt cramped and the amenities made it feel a little more like home. Even though it is located in the basement of a larger property, I still had the comfort and privacy you would expect from a hotel, even having my own private entrance. The only draw back was that public transit in and out of the city could get a little iffy at times especially late at night. But that is not a reflection on Carleston and his property. He actually made every effort to inform me on means of transportation and had open communication in case I needed his help. All in all, it's an excellent place to stay with a great value and an amazing host. One of the few places that I would love to stay again.”
