Large house, clean and thoughtfully furnished. Quiet and relaxing area, friendly neighborhood. Ideal place as a base for exploring the wonderful Garfagnana. Highly recommended!

Great stay with the families.

Matteo's apartment is located in a beautiful, small village (Sambuca) in the mountains and consists of lovingly restored old houses. The apartment is very tastefully decorated. We were there in February and thanks to a pellet stove we did not freeze at all and spent nice reading hours by the stove. The kitchen is perfectly equipped; everything was very clean. Matteo is a very attentive host and always answered our questions very quickly. Matteo's father was also very helpful. I highly recommend this place! Tip: Within walking distance is the Italian restaurant "Il Grotto di Salotti"; there we ate super delicious twice. Matteo, thank you for your hospitality.

Matteo's loft apartment was a beautiful and comfortable place to spend a couple of days. It is very spacious and has everything you could possibly need. The pellet stove and heating made the place warm and cosy. We loved it.

The house in San Romano in Garfagnana is located in a charming location, perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings and taking walks. The accommodation is well maintained and fully meets the description, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The only note to report is the heating: the pellet stove alone is not enough to heat the whole house, and the fireplace, although very impressive, created difficulties due to the smoke, making the stay in the living room unpleasant during the coldest evenings. We probably did something wrong, but we usually manage to turn it on without a problem. At night we were still fine as there are many extra blankets. Overall, a good starting point for exploring the area, both for nature lovers and for visiting Lucca which is a 50-minute drive away.

Excellent loft in a very rural setting. Lovely location, nice people. Well worth a visit if you want to explore the mountain villages.

The house is very comfortable and cozy. Note the owner's whim in preserving the architecture from the historical point of view of the residence. I recommend it

We are very excited about Matteo's place! The house is beautifully decorated and makes you feel right at home. The house has a wonderful charm, the neighbors are very friendly and it is a very calm and beautiful area. Communication with Matteo was very pleasant and simple. I highly recommend the property!
