Cool quirky place, super close to a pretty much private beach! Seen some devils, wallabies and possums around the shack so keep your dog on a leash around the shack if you take your fur baby along :-) Thanks for having a pet friendly Airbnb, not many about and just the location alone makes this place worth a stay!

Our trip was short and sweet - but we wish we had booked longer! Location and accommodation was simply stunning, couldn't have asked for more. Lots of little touches that made us feel relaxed and in holiday-mode! Thanks for having us!

This was our second stay at IdleWild, and it won’t be our last! This gem ticks all the boxes for us: views, proximity to the beach, child and dog friendly, secluded, charisma, spacious, comfy beds and great coffee! Thanks to Amelia for being a wonderful host, Dolphin Sands truly is one of Tassie’s best kept secrets!

Can't recommend it enough! just a few minutes' walk to the beach(dog friendly). The property itself is a peaceful retreat, providing the perfect escape from the everyday life. I loved waking up to the tranquility of the area, and watching the wallabies from the comfort of the fantastic lounge was a highlight of my mornings! Our stay was truly enjoyable, I couldn't have asked for more! If you're looking for a relaxing getaway close to the beach, this is the place to be.

We decided to stay a few extra nights in Bicheno, and we managed to get Jill's place at v late notice. Jill was v responsive and flexible with us, and we really appreciated that. This is a really cosy little home with comfy beds and comfy chairs. We stayed with our niece and it was a perfect size for us. There is everything you need to cook dinner and do your laundry (if that's a holiday requirement!) and it felt really like someone's shack that was loved and cared for. Good vibes. We would definitely stay again.

The accomodation is fantastic with every possible detail perfectly thought out and executed. We had a blissful time with endless sea swims and saunas. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay in a delightful modern home . Easy parking -loads of it- great location to explore the area plus a short walk to the beach every evening . The space was huge and there was loads of storage . Beds comfy -good linen -just professional . The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals and there was plenty of cutlery, glasses, crockery etc. Mandy also provided beach chairs and coolers - thankyou so much! Great bathroom -spotless ! In addition to this Mandy gave us recommendations and her response time to any query was almost immediate. We had an issue with WiFi at our previous rental and gol couldn’t access the internet but Mandy just made everything easy for us which was so appreciated . This house would suit a family or two sets of adults ( there are 2 loos) . If we ever returned to Tasmania we would come back -thankyou

We loved staying in Bicheno while visiting the Freycinet national park area. It’s a cute village with great coffeeshops. We appreciated our dinner at the Long Boat, the restaurant next to the motel complex. The apartment is brand new. The 2 bedrooms were extremely quiet and comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen were both beautiful and functional. Checking in and out was easy. We appreciated all the amenities available on motel ground. There’s a nice family beach just across the street. We had an amazing stay.

Piermont Retreat was a complete delight, from our greeting at the front desk of which was warm & friendly, to then the surroundings, amenities & the cottage was so perfect, the stone on the cottage, the decor, the kitchen, the welcome package was a lovely touch & comfort of every thing, the bed & linen so very comfortable & clean, our stay here has been the highlight of our 3 week trip so far, thank you Piermont what a treat.

What an amazing house and location! We had a lovely stay, the house was beautiful, clean and well appointed. The pool was spectacular, and the track to the beach from the property was a very short 1 min walk. We thoroughly enjoyed everything this house had to offer and can't wait to visit again!!

Our family stayed for a few days and wished it had of been longer. Highly recommend. The property is outstanding and the children and adults made the most of the pool, jacuzzi and total relaxation. Everything we needed and so much more. Plenty of room for the children to play inside and out safely. Amenities were fantastic. Totally loved our time here and have already rebooked for next year. Silver Moon is wonderful peaceful off-grid home in a stunning location. Perfect get-away if you love the ocean and space to breathe.

We absolutely loved the surf shack. Stayed there as two couples and the downstairs suite worked well to give everyone their own space/ bathrooms. It would be a great spot for young family upstairs and grandparents downstairs to spread out. The decor and styling was very cool, we loved the surf photography and the pellet stove. It was the perfect location for morning beach walks and less than 5 min drive to town (could walk this if you were more ambitious). Beds were comfy, quality linens and heat lamps in bathrooms. Lots of little touches that make the difference. Would highly recommend.

Hannah's place was very clean and comfortable. It is very close to the hotel and within easy walking distance from cafes and shops.

We were all hoping for an escape and time to reset. Svens and Lisa have made a beautiful retreat for families or couples just wanting to get away from it all and enjoy what the location has to offer. I can’t speak highly enough of how much effort they have gone to, to make you feel welcome. It is all the little things that you don’t expect that surprise you. They have obviously traveled themselves and remember what it was like. From a family perspective, there is an abundance of things to keep them entertained or just out of your hair. Parents will love it just as much as kids will. The beach is just a few steps through the sand to pristine conditions and for most part you have 9 miles of it to yourself. I wish we had stayed longer.

Great spot! Had a lot of annoying Qs for Melodie prior to our trip and she was perfectly obliging. The house itself was clean and comfortable. Bicheno was great too

The place close to town and beach, clean and has needed essentials. Mike the host was very responsive and friendly. I would recommend.

Anne's place is a fantastic place to stay for any group looking to explore the Wineglass Bay area. It has some great views and a real treat to stay in. The only minor annoyance was the lack of wifi but other than that, it is very hard to find any faults. Would highly recommend for any big groups! Thank you Anne!
