Vacation rentals in Coles Bay

Driftwood Rest was our first stop on our Tassie adventure. It was the perfect location to explore Bay of Fires and communication from the hosts pre arrival was excellent. The outdoor fire place was the highlight of the house; we loved sitting in front of the fire watching the stars as it was a clear night. The view from the lounge window was lovely. A couple of things to note for future guests - the heater in the lounge room starts blowing out cold air after a while. We eventually found that turning it off for a while fixed that issue. The house got very cold overnight. While oil heaters are provided, and work well, we didn’t feel comfortable leaving these on overnight as we were travelling with our young daughter. As a result, the house was very cold in the morning. The bed felt as though there was an electric blanket; however, there were no controls to turn it on, which is a shame as one would have been welcomed.

We thoroughly enjoy our stay and most definitely will be back! The villa itself was beautiful, pristinely clean and had all the essentials. The location felt like you were in your own little piece of coastal paradise, however close enough with a short drive to small towns to get supplies. Thank you so much Rita for ensuring that we had everything we would need to ensure we had a such a seamless and amazing visit.

One of the best decisions so far on our trip, stopping at Bicheno as base for our Freycinet park day trips. Just a quick 30min drive and Bicheno happened to be absolutely beautiful. Lee & Sophie's Ocean View Retreat was just incredible. Right in the outside of the city centre but only 4min drive to the shops, you're rewarded with a view that is difficult to beat! The peaceful atmosphere and all the amenities in the unit (cooking utensiles, laundry machine, etc) made this place somewhere where I would happily stay again and would recommend it to anyone coming to Tasmania.

The Ocean Retreat is an absolute pleasure to stay at. The deck and pool overlooking the ocean is what sets this place apart, the view is breathtaking. The heated pool is a great temperature, we used it even though the weather wasn't really warm. The kitchen has great amenities and is well stocked for entertaining. Having two dishwashers and a butlers pantry is brilliant. BBQ is huge! Makes cooking for the family easy. We loved that every bedroom has it's own bathroom/ensuite, makes it great when you have 4 couples staying like we did. All the bedrooms are very spacious, plenty of room for the bassinet and stuff for our infant. The layout of the loungeroom is well considered too, the gas "woodheater" gives all the ambience of a log fire without the mess and warms the area really well. Thank you Nigel and Courtney for a fantastic stay, we hope to be back again soon!

We loved our stay at Robyn's place. The spectacular view from upstairs is obviously a major drawcard but also the place is incredibly well equipped and Robyn is very responsive and friendly, including dropping over an onion so I could cook a risotto in the beautiful kitchen without having to drive back to St Helens to buy one. The king sized bed is super comfortable. There's a beautiful little beach right below the house and if you follow the road along a little you'll find the beginning of the walk out to Skeleton Point, which is stunning. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We spent 4 nights here.The place was really clean and welcoming. We felt right at home. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals here. Super handy to have the washing machine. The fact that you have access to the amenities of white sands estate was just fantastic, we played putt putt golf, swam, played tennis and checked out the cinema and had a wine tasting. We did lots of walks and watched the wildlife. I appreciated that there was a box of kids books in the bedroom. Beds were comfy. We would love to come back again, we really enjoyed ourselves. A perfect spot near Freycinet National Park. We really enjoyed our stay here. Very convenient location for access to the park. As an extra bonus, we also found good eating spots nearby. Views from the front deck were spectacular, particularly sunset.

Beautiful home, great location, wonderful host. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Second stay at the shack at Falmouth and it never disappoints. Beautiful location and views. Love the character of the place.
