Traditional Country Cottage

1 Gloucester Cottages is nestled in the quaint mining village of Stanton Drew in the Chew Valley, Somerset, The village is home of the prehistoric Stanton Drew stone circles, the second largest stone circle in Britain after Avebury. The cottage is great for families and couples, it has a fully equipped kitchen and is furnished through out, a king sized bed and double with all linen included. We have fast wifi, parking and an open working fireplace for those cosy nights in with a bottle of red.

Lovely detached countryside Annex near Bath

The Garden Annex is a private, tranquil place. Its wooden construction is distinctive and cosy; and it’s centrally heated during winter months. It has a comfortable double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. There’s a separate room with self-catering facilities; a dresser containing cutlery, glasses and china, complete with a fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Staying in the Annex is a welcome experience, one in which you feel part of the lovely countryside around you.

Boutique Country Retreat

Set in the grounds of a Manor House, the recently converted The Stables is a perfect place for families or small groups of up to 6 (or 8 with use of sofa bed - *additional cost pp). Two of the three bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Downstairs a large entertaining and dining area leads to the a fully equipped kitchen. A utility room with washer and dryer leads to a shower room. There is a snug with large tv and a selection of games and books. French doors lead to a fabulous outdoor seating area

The Vault

The Vault is a really special space, which we hope you can see from the photographs. It is a basement studio apartment with its own private entrance. It is quiet and cosy with underfloor heating and an ambient temperature all year round. This property is very central, making it easy to plan your visit. We are very close to the harbour and the property is on the famous Georgian Square, Queen Square. It feels like you have stepped into a film from Jane Austen as you come out of the building.

You can enjoy Bath, a Unesco World Heritage city, its buildings, history and restaurants, visit the hustle and bustle of Bristol, explore the countless picture postcard villages, pubs and cafes or visit a range of National Trust properties. Parkhouse Farm Holiday Cottages are situated in a very special location, peacefully and quietly tucked away on the grounds of a Grade II listed building. The cottages overlook a paddock, a wood and views over the magnificent Chew Valley countryside, yet are only a few minutes away from a lot of places of interest like Bristol, Bath, The Cotswolds, Wells (cathedral), Cheddar Gorge and the Mendips Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. The perfect mix of country retreat and city break!

Pretty annex with kitchen and private garden

This lovely annex has its own private entrance with a small fenced garden and patio area with table and chairs. There is one ensuite kingsize bedroom (or 2 singles) and a open plan kitchen with sofa bed (more suitable for children as no separate bathroom) There is parking outside. Our beautiful hamlet is very quiet with great walks from the door. We do run a working farm so you may occasionally hear that in action. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.

Ultra fast fibre broadband is a recent addition for guests needing to work from the cottage or simply surf the internet .

We have lovingly just converted this building into a highly unique 2 bedroom river fronted Cabin to excite and delight its guests. Situated less than 10 meters from the UK's oldest Brass Mill, skirting on the tranquil Mill Island with complimentary access to Kayaks, paddle boards and bikes and all being only a 10 minute drive into historic Bath's city centre.
