A 100% recommended place, it has everything you need for a nice stay, pleasant weather, good location... the photographs do not honor how beautiful and cozy the house is. Don Rafael is very friendly and was attentive to our needs. We hope to return with my family, thank you for having us!!!

Unfortunately certain circumstances prevented us from being able to stay at the cottage location in Coatepeque lake, however Douglas was able to accommodate us with another one of his properties right on the edge of the lake. The Casa vista Veneto home had exceeded our expectations. What a beautiful spacious home with access to the lake. Not only was the view spectacular, but the services was magnificent. The maintenance lady, Nataly, was very helpful and ready to assist whenever we needed anything. We were also given the option to rent out boats, jet skis, or other watercraft’s that would be dropped off right at the doc. Overall we had an incredible time here and if the cottage is anything like this one was, we definitely have something to look forward to next time!

We selected this home based on previous reviews and photos, and were so happy that we chose it! Roberto, Eneida and Monica were so gracious and hospitable. We appreciated the connections that Roberto helped us with , to have our day on the lake with jet skis for a couple of hours from a local rental...use of the kayaks on site....and the boat was available for rental if we wanted to use it. We were able to order some delicious papusas one evening, thanks to Roberto's help and willingness to row across the lake to get our order!! We loved having plenty of towels available, for pool and bathing, without having to bring them along in our suitcases!! The Host has responded to previous reviews and has a new refrigerator added to a beautiful and fully equipped kitchen! We did a lot of cooking and enjoyed the amenities available! Our family enjoyed a couple of peaceful days together here, and we hope to be back for another enjoyable stay~ Thanks for sharing this beautiful space!

The place is beautiful, especially if you are traveling with adults only. For the kids, you must watch them all the time because there are many stairs. (I think a lot of places are like that over here.) The host was very responsive and helpful and the girl who watches the place was very pleasant to deal with. The view is stunning and overall with enjoyed our stay.

This place is amazing. Host Rodrigo was so helpful, friendly and available at all times. Went beyond to make us feel comfortable. Definitely will stay here again when needed.

It was a beautiful stay. The house is very clean with excellent WiFi and hot water. The terrace is large to share with family and friends. Everything is very nice and convenient. Recommended!

The little house is very small but cozy. The gardens and the pool give it a special charm and make the stay very peaceful and pleasant. Perfect for disconnecting and relaxing.

Excellent place to stay. I have stayed twice and the service and attention are the best. Oscar and Valeria have always been there for any questions. I am very grateful. I hope to return soon. If you’re looking for something bigger for 4-5 people, this house is perfect! Enough space for everyone, AC works perfectly in two of three rooms. Kitchen has all essentials you need if you’d like to cook there. Perfect location with short walks to two different swimming places. Short uber ride to restaurants, stores etc. She also has cute little bar area in the backyard for small get togethers! 10/10 would recommend this home and will be going back next year!

Amazing views. Pool was great. Nice and private. Clean and quiet. Gardens were nice. Big place and good kitchen. Mauricio was lovely. Gave us recommendations for a boat rental and a restaurant for lunch and dinner. Little store across the street had fresh eggs, bread and coffee to make breakfast. You definitely will need a vehicle staying here but everything is a 10 minute drive but has a good space to park the car. Overall would 100 percent recommend Muriel’s space.

If you love the weird and wonderful, exploring nooks and crannies and discovering books and arts, then you'll find yourself in a veritable Wonderland here, topped by a superb view and a lovely pool as well as a magical Sphere. If you need hot water, all the mod cons and a house free of nature, then this is not for you. A mad mix of your gran's house, a Merchant Ivory production and a museum/art gallery, we had a very relaxing and edifying time here. Muriel's mum was the daughter of polish emigres and herself a French emigre who established a cultural salon and gallery during the long civil wall in El Salvador. Some of the bedrooms in the house are weird and, as our 6 year old said, creepy. Not everyone will love the bats and the occasional scorpion like we do. There was also more noise from the neighbours than we were expecting. Muriel was so helpful with brilliant recommendations. We highly recommend this gem of a place. It felt like a great privilege to be staying there.
