“My partner and I were visiting family in Cavan and Ann Marie's place was perfectly located for easy travel to and from relatives. Ann Marie was extremely prompt in her responses and we were greeted in person by her parents who were very hospitable throughout our stay whilst also allowing us our personal space. The place was immaculate, wonderfully cosy and the thoughtful additional touches such as scones, biscuits and toiletries were much appreciated! Although we had rented the car, the local bus route was also at our convenience. We would definitely recommend staying here and would happily stay again on our next trip to Cavan!”

“Bluebell Farm is a beautiful, authentic Irish farm set in the countryside. The apartment we stayed in was completely self contained and had everything you could ask for amenity wise, plus lots of extras such as great selection of board games and books, netflix and a really generous welcome hamper filled with eggs, bread, cereal, tea, coffee + loads else which is more than we could ask for and saved having to worry about popping to shop etc. Charlie kindly offered to take us around the farm which we loved and even provided us with some wellies! My little girl loved seeing the animals, walking around the grounds and Charlie was an interesting, informative guide as well as a great host, and we appreciated the time took to show us around. Ate in nearby Kierans restaurant as recommended by Charlie, really impressed by food and was reasonably priced too. All in all, great place to stay in the monaghan / cavan area, or even just a great spot to go if you fancy a break away from everyday life in a peaceful, serene setting.”
The Peacock House is located within the Lismore Demesne. It was once the dairy and workers cottage. From the 1980s onwards it was used to house peacocks, giving the cottage its name. After being left dormant for 80 years it was lovingly restored three years ago. These days it is a bright and cozy cottage offering tranquil views of mature trees and park land. There is private access to forest walks along the Doney Stream just outside the doorstep.
“The perfect getaway to a country cottage. Sonya and Richard we're super accommodating, very friendly with attention to detail. The cottage was perfect, spotlessly clean and with all the amenities you would need. I was pleasantly surprised with the touches Sonya left, the breakfast foods, the coffees, the juice etc. It was a cold February weekend and Sonya ensured to keep the fire going for us even if we were not at the cottage which was lovely. We were there for a Wedding near by in Farnham Estate and they even brought us to the venue on the day. The whole place was so cosy, I had a great nights sleep in the bed and there is a pub across the road which is good for a drink or some food and its only 10 mins from Cavan town. We had a busy weekend and unfortunately did not get to explore the land around the cottage, but I will most definitely be back to explore further. I have been singing it's praises so much that friends have just booked to go to Peacock lodge in 2 weeks time. :) Thank you”
