Cahercastle has been standing since the late 1400s One needs to be somewhat crazy to be owned by a castle , itsowned me now for 20 years, anyway it is our home its not perfect, so don't expect perfection ,we do have cobwebs and a little dust (so asthma sufferers take note)We endeavour to make your stay as comfortable as possible Please note when making a request to stay please take time to write an introductory message or have an informative profile We look forward to welcoming you Peter / Eva
“Pete was an outstanding host. He spins a great story and sets you up with all you need to stay at a castle and explore surrounding areas. You have the bedroom and living room floors. Pete has done an amazing job recreating this castle with a ton of detail from medieval times and enough modern amenities to make a truly unique experience. I can't recommend this stay enough. Easily my favorite Air BnB stay.”
A small slice of paradise on the sunny side of Lough Derg:-) The boathouse is self contained with full kitchen, bathroom and mezzanine bed. Private veranda with seating for 2 and a small BBQ. (No pets allowed)
“Looking for a quiet and relaxing retreat? Barry's place is what you've been looking for! The cottage is on Lough Derg and the only things you can hear are the water and the birds singing... Barry was such a great host, very fast reacting and replying to queries, his mum was lovely too. Would definitely recommend going there!”
This hexagon hut is situated on its own on land that is half orchard half woodland, 5 Km from Westport. It gives a nice view over the natural environment with wild life and low key farming. A few goats and a few hens roam in the adjoining field.
“Oh my gosh this was the most incredible Airbnb experience! Irma’s treehouse is in a great location that’s about 10 minutes from town but in a tucked away part of the country so you can have your privacy. The treehouse is surrounded by the most incredible view of the countryside and irmas little farm. Every morning was so lovely waking up and seeing an amazing view. The treehouse was so cute and had a bunch of quaint touches that made the experience one of a kind. When we arrived we were welcomed by the best soda bread we’ve ever had as well as fresh fruit. irma even made a point to have the wood burning oven on before we got there so we had a toasty place to rest after a long day of travel. On top of this place being an incredible place to stay, Irma was also an amazing host! She’s so quick to respond to messages, but more importantly she is warm and generous. I left my scarf at the treehouse and Irma immediately messaged me and offered to send it back to me in the states. She went above and beyond to make our stay amazing and we will totally be coming back again!”
