Stag Cottage

Hayeswood Farm is set in the rolling hills of south Derbyshire. Our family moved here in 2024 and have a strong focus on sustainability, regenerating the land and creating a haven for wildlife. The farm is home to chickens, ducks, geese, horses and our three whippets and is a great place to see wildlife such as songbirds, hare, partridge, and fallow deer. With public footpaths on our doorstep and plenty of pubs and farm shops near by, Stag Cottage is the perfect location for a weekend getaway.

Fabulous Grade 2 Listed Cottage

This unique grade 2 listed cottage was built in circa 1790. It was originally one of 5 cottages for workers of the cotton mill next door whose chimney is still standing (almost in the back garden!). This is said to be part of the oldest sloping roofed terrace left in the world. The property still has some original features including the red and black tiled floor in the living room and original stone fireplaces. The cottage has been lovingly restored and has all the space and comforts you need.

Located in a peaceful rural area, 6 miles north of Derby or 12 miles to the west of Nottingham, the property is ideal for two people however it can accommodate up to four sleeping.
