Cycladic house vacation rentals in Crete

A change of regular venue for us in Crete and what a find. Right on the promontory with 200 degrees of unspoilt views. The beach feels private as we were alone 90% of the time and then only a couple of others. The water is magnificent. Alexandros was very accommodating with our late arrival and had a pizza for us which was much appreciated as everything was closed. I read another review on here and they had it spot on. Local seafront village is a lovely, a little shabby, packed with local Greeks at the weekend and the food was great, friendly and cheap. We were a family of four adults and had the best time. Just very chilled and gentle. Definitely coming back!!

The apartment is very spacious and cozy. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. After our ferry was initially unable to sail due to the wind, the hostess helped us to contact the ship organization and to consider a plan how we could still leave.

at the end of a quiet beach with the company of cats only as everywhere on the ridge...6 restaurants within walking distance ...all tavernas very well especially those after the road broken by the sea towards apigia...dinner by the water!!!recommendation: fresh and homemade anchovies at the porphyra restaurant!!!a delight!!!Thank you to all Cretans for their efficient and fuss-free hospitality

Great value for money, we had a great time at the apartment. Close to the beach (6 min walk), located in a very quiet and peaceful area. The apartment is ultra modern (brand new kitchen and bathroom). Pavlos and his sister are ultra responsive and accommodating. We arrived very late to access the accommodation and they sent us instructions so that we could access the accommodation easily and quickly. Thanks again and we recommend it without so much as a second thought!

We were two families with two children and spend a week in Lena’s house. The villa is specious and comfortable. Pool was nice and clean. The house is in a remote location so you do need a car for everything, but you are in a less touristy and quiet spot of Crete and you can reach most of the top attractions within an hour drive. It’s about 15min drive to the nearest beach and 45min to Rhetymno town. It’s also easy to go to the mountains.

The accommodation is really nice and comfortable.

Lovely place for a larger group. Four bedrooms with their own bathrooms and small terraces also allowed for private time. Quiet location with amazing views. Several restaurants and two well-equipped grocery stores in walking distance. The kitchen had good equipment, which was suitable for cooking, both indoors and outdoors in the nice outdoor kitchen. The heated infinity pool offered both swimming and water activities. Lovely large terrace with sun loungers, sofa and parasols allowed for common chill. Also the playing field attracted to board games. The villa's location on a steep hillside allows for training. Recommend renting a car or scooters to get to different places. The host was on hand and reachable on short notice. Highly recommend Villa Eureka and would love to come there again.

Nice house, everything worked

We had to cancel or rebook the reservation a few days before our scheduled arrival. Actually, we were entitled to 0% refund - however, the owner refunded 100% of the amount. He could have easily capped the money from the whole reservation - that's a very fine move. Our arrival was very late - yet we received a warm welcome. Including a few supplies and an Easter surprise. The contact was friendly, pleasant and not intrusive. The location is very nice - especially if you like it a little remote and value privacy. Right next to the pool is another meadow and the flowers bloom. Cleanliness great, great equipment! No negative criticism, 5 stars !

We absolutely loved our stay at In vivo, it was perfect for our very special family reunion. The view was mesmerising, so beautiful & peaceful. The villa is lovely & finished to a very high standard & perfect for our family of 11. It was everything we could have wished for & more! Panagoula couldn’t have been more welcoming or more helpful. We hired cars through her & she made it so easy for us. She was so quick to reply to any requests or questions. She spoilt us by cooking some delicious Cretan food which was so kind & thoughtful of her. She was the perfect host! Would highly recommend. We loved our time in Crete & at In Vivo, we definitely didn’t want to leave & hope to return!!

10/10 would recommend! Everything was according to the description and worth the price. Our apartament was clean and spacious, very well equipped for daily use. Odisseas & Evita were available and very helpful while sharing their recommendations. The town is small and rather quiet in April but the views and surroundings were most beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. We were a group of 6 and were there for a total of 12 days. The villa corresponded exactly to the description and as shown in the photos. The location was perfect for us, very quiet and you could enjoy the privacy very much. Beaches, restaurants and supermarkets were reachable in 10-15 minutes by car. Particularly positive was our host, he welcomed us on time at the villa and showed us everything. We were even able to communicate in German. He was always available and answered our questions within minutes. He even visited us twice in the villa, so we could exchange information well. He organized all the activities we wanted, such as a safari tour, quad tour, diving, etc... We are very excited about our vacation and would recommend it to anyone. We will definitely book a place to stay with the host Intertrip again

Lovely villa in peaceful surroundings with nice pool area. Would recommend a car for exploring the nearby resort of Almyrida and further afield. We found plenty of traditional village and beachside greek/Cretan tavernas serving delicious food within 10 mins drive.

Great stay. private location. very responsive host

This was going to be a very special holiday for our family so we wanted to find a villa that would make it feel very special and this villa lived up to all our hopes and beyond! It was just as it appeared in the photos, set in a beautiful location, with views of the sea and coast out front, and surrounded by Olive groves and wildflower meadow - watching sunset from the rooftop hot tub is spectacular. It is remote enough to be very peaceful, but still only a short drive to shops, restaurants etc. The villa was spotlessly clean throughout and the range of facilities is excellent. We were six adults and the space was perfect - plenty space inside and out to either be together or have some time to yourself. Eftychios and his family were fantastic hosts, very responsive and lots of little extra touches that made it an even more special experience. The value for money to get such a premium experience is excellent and thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic experience start to finish. Minoas, the host, was communicative, welcoming, super helpful and very friendly. The villa was beautiful, just like the photos, and the views were stunning. The local beach is a great place to walk to and there are lots of bars situated there which also serve yummy food. Easy to drive to (rent a car if you’re flying into chania and want to explore more of the island) and very safe. Definitely recommend!!

We really loved our stay at Galini Breeze which was last stop on our honeymoon trip. We were made to feel very welcome by Serhat on arrival and throughout our time both Serhat and Hamza were super friendly hosts. They also provided us with some great recommendations on secluded beaches to visit. The hotel itself was lovely, with beautiful pool area overlooking the Mount Ida in one direction and the coast. Rooms were very contemporary with lovely private balconies. It was nice how they had thought about everything, and even had a washing machine, a selection of beach toys/ sun umbrellas. While a bit touristy we enjoyed Agia Galini, plus it is an amazing base to explore if you have access to a hire car and don't mind the hills. Other than that the driving was fine. Thanks

We had a wonderful time in Kamilari and can wholeheartedly recommend Villa Nepenthe. The hilltop location overlooking the surrounding valleys and the sea is gigantic. From the roof terrace, you can watch the sunset while the garden with pool invites you to relax. The villa is very tastefully decorated and perfectly equipped. Jeroen and Maja have created a fabulous place with a lot of love for detail. The contact with the two was very warm and the handover with Katerina was also so personable that we felt comfortable right away. We would have liked to have stayed longer!
