The Walker House was built in the mid-1800s as a private home by Henry B. Walker who was wise enough to capitalize on all the clay in the soil in Maine and owned 3 brickyards. Now on The National Register of Historic Places, the house is located just over Portland townline so you’ll enjoy the space, quiet and safety of a family-oriented area with just minutes to the center of town.
“My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to spend the weekend and we got that and so much more! The space is beautifully decorated with antiques and art pieces, but is still cozy and functional. Communication with Pete was a breeze and our dog had the time of her life in the big fenced in yard. Absolutely would recommend to anyone!”

“I loved my stay at Sandy and Jerry’s. This was my first time using air bnb and it was a great experience. I am used to staying at hotels and this was better! They provided so many nice touches, like coffee creamer and breakfast bars, that made it extra convenient. I was on a solo get away so I really appreciate how their setup allows 100% privacy. I did not hear them once! The location is great - a very quite and seemingly safe neighborhood with people out walking and enjoying their day. Sandy and Jerry offered to let me check-in early to avoid driving in a snow storm and also shoveled out my entrance walkway and put salt to melt the ice. Very thoughtful and kind. Very comfortable bed and awesome pillows. 10/10 and will be staying again!”

“We had a wonderful trip to Portland and made even better by this wonderful Air BnB! It’s in a great location, about 10 minutes to downtown Portland, very clean, and many amenities including lots of blankets and toiletries. The apartment is great for a couple, friends, or family. It’s very nice to have a full kitchen as well! There was coffee for the Kureig machine, water bottles in the fridge and even candies around the apartment! Thank you for a great trip-would definitely stay here again :)”
