“COVID-19 has been a challenging crisis that has surfaced how many good people is around. I work for an IOC that requested most of his international employees been relocated temporarily in Europe last March driven by the pandemic risk in Africa. I have to rush to get a place in Pau, France in matters of few days with a lot of uncertainty. The chance to find a furnished flat with the minimum essentials during the lockdown was not an easy task. Searching in Airbnb I got across a wonderful property hosted by an amazing woman: Carole. After few emails exchanges I secured the month of April. Carole prepared everything (food, documents, etc.). The flat is bright, clean and everything what could be for a long stay. location and neighborhood are good. During my first two weeks, Carole manage to clear the way for extending my stat first until 31/05 and later up to 27/07. Here in this unclear scenario the key was secure continuity without knowing exactly when I will be able to be back to my working place in Africa. COVID-19 has changed the world where flexibility becomes one of the most important features in any business. Now, my company has started the process to return to Africa, and I am scheduled to go back on 01/07. Under the current rules of Airbnb, I will loose July rental. Could Airbnb be willing to consider certain level of flexibility in my particular case? I am deeply grateful to Carole for all what she did to make my stay in Pau the best possible. Finally, the flat is fantastic for teleworking. Whenever come back to Pau, this flat will be my first choice. COVID-19 was a difficult crisis that brought to light the number of good people.
