In the immediate vicinity there are numerous opportunities for hiking or cycling and in summer the Hohenwarte reservoir invites you to swim. Various shopping facilities are in the village – including Supermarket, bakery and pharmacy. The train station is 1.5 km from the house.

The house is located in the middle of the Thuringian Slate Mountains, in the immediate vicinity of the Hohenwarte reservoir, the ideal area for hiking, biking or canoeing.

Barrier-free apartment in our single-family house in rural idyll in East Thuringia near the Saale dams, the Plothener ponds on the A9 exactly between Berlin and Munich. The Saalfeld fairy grottoes, the Leuchtenburg near Kahla, Jena, Gera, Weimar are not too far away. Here you can hike (the roads are also wheelchair accessible), watch animals or simply relax on the terrace. Infants up to 2 years old and children up to 6 years old are welcome.

Located just outside the village, I offer you a modern, newly furnished apartment with cozy living room/bedroom (double bed + 2x extra beds on sofa bed), a fully equipped kitchen (electric stove, dishwasher, fridge, microwave...) and a bright bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment is the ideal starting point for hikes into the nature reserve in the "Land of a Thousand Ponds." Also enjoy the idyllic view of the Thuringian Highlands.
