Just 8 minutes from up-town restaurants (15 to the downtown hot springs) but far enough away for peace and quiet. This is the perfect basecamp for hiking and biking! National Forest Access with 40+ miles of riding and hiking trails less than 1/3rd mile down our road. Numerous more trails nearby! High-speed internet perfect for working or streaming your favorite show.

Strawbale Cottage

Staying in a Strawbale home is a special experience! The thick adobe walls create a cozy and warm feeling that a traditional stick built home just can’t. Enjoy the vaulted ceilings, heated floors, new appliances and natural sunlight. Backyard, fire pit and gas grill as well as outdoor eating space. The view from the kitchen looks out on a private pond and local historic (retired) Rio Grande Railroad bridge. Some scenes from the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were shot by this bridge!

Our guest cabin on our property borders the National Forest w countless hummingbirds. The cabin boasts a private, cozy hot tub to enjoy after a long day out. Please note there is one step from the kitchen into the dining room & two steps into the second bedroom. Enjoy the cozy woodstove in the fall and winter.
