Beautiful quiet Grade II listed Barn with outstanding views in the South Downs National Park. There is one bedroom, and a large antique single bed in the living area. Fibre internet. A 2 mile walk to Jane Austen's house in Chawton and close to Grange Opera, Gilbert White Museum in Selborne, NT Hinton Ampner, and market towns of Farnham, Alresford, Petersfield and Winchester. There is wonderful walking, and easy access to the coast, and for children is close to the Watercress Train line.

Farthings - genuine Austen charm cottage & garden

Renovated in June 2019, the house is a real haven, ideally located in the heart of Chawton village and surrounding Hampshire. Farthings was built circa 1700 for the workers of the Squires big house, which is now the Jane Austen Library in the centre of Chawton. The writer's home, now a museum, is directly opposite the house and it's said that Austen family members stayed in Farthings when they ran out of room. They certainly smoked hams for Squire Knight's guests in the inglenook fireplace.

Easy access to the A3.

This traditionally inspired, hand-made Shepherds Hut is nestled inside a paddock in the leafy county of Hampshire. It offers a tranquil retreat in a home away from home setting with a cosy open plan living space championed by the log burning stove. Enjoy cooking your own English Breakfast - of which eggs are graciously supplied by our chickens -amongst views and visits of our 17 strong Alpaca herd. On the edge of the South Downs National Park Alton is surrounded by beautiful countryside ideal for cycling and walking. The house has it's own private entrance, driveway parking and fast wifi, kitchen, restful living room, bright airy bedrooms and a stylish shower room.

Warren Farm is 2 miles from Alton, which is famous for the Watercress Line steam railway and the home of Jane Austen. We are also on the edge of the South Downs National Park and within easy reach of Winchester and the Historic Dockyards and ferry terminals in Portsmouth. The Stables has it's own entrance from the beautiful garden room which adjoins our barn. There are country views and footpaths if you are feeling energetic! We look forward to welcoming you.
