“We had a lovely weekend at Kick-A-Root cottage! The cottage is sparkling clean and stylish with several thoughtful/unique touches in each room. We travelled with our dog who loved the toy that was left for him by the hosts. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. All amenities were well maintained. We absolutely loved using the hot tub and were not bothered by bugs at all when we were in it. The neighbours dog, Hudson, visited us everyday in the tub. He’s a gentle giant. While we are dog lovers, I can attest to his obedience and say that he doesn’t think twice when you tell him to “go home”.... what a good boy! I highly recommend this cottage to couples or besties looking for a peaceful getaway on a picturesque property. Thank you Dave and Mandie for being superb hosts!”
Our place is close to Bala and Port Carling. You’ll love it! It's a big, one room, family cabin on a 6 acre forested property with a 40 sec. walk to our 1100 ft of shoreline on pristine Medora lake, with dock, canoe, great swimming and fishing. This place is good for couples or a family (with kids). A true Muskoka experience. The friendly and quiet owners who live next door have loved this incredible private property for 25 years and will ensure you have all the comforts you need.
“Jeff's place sits on 6 acres of forest and lakefront. It was a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is a beautiful boardwalk built through the forested area to lead you to the water. The cabin he built is also gorgeous. Very homey, log cabin feel. Everything we needed was there for us. His property is literally 3 minutes away from the cranberry marsh, where we stopped in to get some cranberry wine! Perfect if you like sweet wines. Jeff was very welcoming and kind. I'm sorry we did not chat more, he seems like he probably has a bunch of cool stories to share. Jeff's place is a definite recommend! 😊”
Esti and Bert's lakeside log cabin is located on a quiet bay of Muskoka region's eleventh largest lake. This 100+ year old cabin has been recently upgraded to offer a modern 3-piece washroom, kitchenette, and bedroom. Additional sleeping accommodation is available in the main room. Please note: as you may be aware, COVID-19 precautions essentially require that you bring your own towels and bedding (sheets, pillows, and blankets). All other identified amenities will be in place when you arrive.
“The place was perfect! Very nice and cozy log cabin with everything you need. Bert and Esti were very accommodating well still giving us a private stay as they live in the cottage to the right. The lake and views were amazing, we also took the pedal boat for a spin to make the weekend that much better. Highly recommended for a cozy getaway. There’s also a great pub only 10 minutes away! Highly recommended.”
