Family-friendly vacation rentals in Edam-Volendam

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

我们团队一行6人，商务行后旅行经过一晚，1、房屋主人主动沟通确认到达时间，原计划8:30到，实际到达要9:30-10点了，提前1小时通知，房东非常有耐心； 2、房子里有树屋和秋千； 3、方便停车🅿️； 4、周围2.5KM有大海和海滩，沙滩上有贝壳🐚，很适合散步看海踩沙滩🏖️；

We had a wonderful holiday in Moniek’s beautiful house. We were so comfortable and relaxed as Moniek provided everything we could need. There were lots of lovely, stylish extras in her house too that made our stay feel special. The neighbourhood is great; quiet, peaceful and full of beautiful views of boats, beaches parks, nature and water. Yet there is also loads to do with teenagers, being so close to Amsterdam, Ajax and Delft. Almere is the perfect place to explore by cycling. The week went so quickly. Moniek was very helpful in giving useful and detailed info and in answering questions quickly. I would 100% highly recommend this AirBnB to others.

Perfect location, unique way to stay in the city. Would highly recommend. Very different experience, of course, than a home or hotel but this makes travel more fun. Being right on the "skinny" bridge was a fantastic experience. Great for people watching or just quickly being right in the middle of everything.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit viel Privatsphäre. Elles hat zu Beginn alles wichtige erklärt und war immer erreichbar. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist ruhig und Städte, Strand und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in kurzer Zeit erreichbar. Fahrräder stehen frei zur Verfügung und können problemlos benutzt werden. Der Checkout hat problemlos funktioniert.

Perfect location in de Pijp, close to everything and also quiet. Ella communicates clearly and is very helpful and accommodating. The apartment itself has everything you need and a wonderful combination of interior comfort and outdoor patio. Would definitely come back.

Absolutely loved our stay! We were 5 adults plus a 1yo so we loved that there was a large living area down stairs for her to play with toys, plus a baby gate on the stairs. The rooms are very spacious and we felt right at home with everything we needed, it was very warm and cosy. We were there over new years and the neighbours let off a fireworks show around the streets which was fun to see since we were just relaxing at home! The washer & dryer were very handy but will say the dryer took a few rounds to dry our clothes - could be us translating the dryer incorrectly though 😂 The location was good - it’s about a 15 min walk to the ferry then a 15 min ferry to get to central station. Or a 10 min bus then 10 min train into central area. Not the closest stay to the central area but well located for the price! To stay closer would have been expensive. But fine if you are ok for 30 mins travel in each day which was ok for us. The ferry is free, and busses/trains are cheap anyway! 😊

Fred's place was an absolute dream! Perfect location in Amsterdam Noord a bit out of the city and the bikes he provided were incredible for getting around. We also used the kayaks one day and it was a magical experience. Fred was very responsive and kind. I hope to come back soon! There were two flights of very steep stairs to access our room so just a heads up for anyone who may have mobility issues.

Lieu très accueillant, drôle et agréable. Nous étions 6 et avons pu profiter pleinement. Lieu accessible depuis le centre très rapidement. Taco était réactif et très convivial pour que l’on se sente parfaitement chez nous.

Très bon séjour sur ce superbe bateau, nous y avons passés 4 jours à 13 amis. Bateau très propre, super accueil, super bien placé (ferry gratuit pour aller dans le centre) tout en étant au calme. Supermarché à 5 min. Grand salon et cuisine bien équipée. Merci à Grietje et son mari pour leur accueil et recommandations sur les informations pratiques. 😀👍

Das Haus von Sophie ist sehr schön, der Garten und die Lage am Wasser sind einfach traumhaft. Es ist alles vorhanden was man im Urlaub braucht, sogar das Boot durften wir benutzen. Sophie ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin, es hat alles wunderbar geklappt und war unkompliziert, danke dafür. Wir haben es genoßen und kommen gerne wieder.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Amsterdam and especially staying in this beautiful house. It was so nice to get back to such a peaceful and quiet location after the busy centre of town. The house is clearly a much-loved and cared-for family home, with two sweet cats. The area is great: there are a few amenities near by and a quick walk to the metro that takes you to the centre in just a few minutes. Thanks Joris & family for letting us stay in your home!

logement très bien placé. parfaitement au calme et très proche d'Amsterdam. Possibilité de rejoindre rapidement un parking relais et d'attraper le métro ensuite. Fre est très réactive et l'arrivée à été facile. La maison est une maison de campagne totalement dans son jus avec pas grand chose de droit, mais très accueillante. La literie est très bonne et la cuisine très équipée. Très bon rapport qualité prix. je recommande

We hebben een super fijn verblijf gehad! De communicatie met Annet was super fijn en ze heeft er voor gezorgd dat we ons meteen thuis voelde. Alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig in het huisje. We hebben zeker genoten en komen graag nog een keer terug!

A quick ride from Amsterdam Central to a small harbor off the Main Street. Walkable to all the main attractions in Central Amsterdam and an easy spot to catch an Uber if you want to go further. The houseboat was as described on a quiet dock with friendly neighbors and two awesome houseboat cats Bo and Skipper. This was especially important since we were in town when Kings Day occurred and after a walk around the festivities, it was nice to retire from the craziness and relax on top of the houseboat. The host met us onboard walked us through everything and provided easy contact information for use during our stay. Check-out was a breeze. A great find and a great value!

Ich habe mich in dem schön hergerichteten Wagen sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch weil es mal etwas anders war. Die Begrüßung durch Jose‘ war sehr freundlich. Ich komme gerne wieder.

A cozy beautiful place outside Amsterdam. The pool, the jacuzzi and the green space give you the perfect place to start and end your day after long walks in the crowded Amsterdam. We had to use Uber to go from and to Amsterdam which ended up costing us around 30-35€ per ride. There are instructions about public transport but when we checked online it would take about an hour to commute (we’re thinking maybe we checked at times where the bus was unavailable since the instructions from the host said it would take shorter). The pool and the jacuzzi would definitely benefit from bit more cleaning since the water was bit cloudy. Still, overall , absolutely worth it and we enjoyed our stay.

Wir sind als große Familie verreist und insbesondere für Kinder ist der Garten mit Trampolin toll. Das Haus liegt in einem Ferienpark und mit dem Auto sind viele umliegende Städte, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Attraktionen gut zu erreichen. Auch in Amsterdam oder Utrecht ist man schnell bei einem Tagesausflug. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht, wir waren 7 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder, somit war mehr als genug Platz, das Haus für 16 Personen ausgelegt ist. Die Gastgeberin war freundlich und stets erreichbar für Rückfragen. Ideal für ein verlängertes Wochenende in den Niederlanden.

un très agréable séjour sur le bateau de Steven...passer quelques jours sur le Don c est un peu jouer au marin mais c est bien agréable. Weesp est une petite ville d un charme absolu, idéalement située par rapport à Amsterdam. N hesitez pas, demandez la permission de monter à bord.
