For relaxing in the beautiful nature summer or winter. Just 35 minutes outside of the capital city of Oslo. Great for hiking, cycling and cross country skiing. Extra charge for breakfast.
“The log cabin is very pretty, cozy and warm. Thove provides effective guidance on the logistics of the property (which includes a portion of her home and a well-maintained bathroom for guests). She has horses and dogs (which kids love) and even invited us into her home for my son to play with her dogs and spend some time outside the cabin at night. Unfortunately, this February, there was no snow on the property, so it would be best to rent a car for more mobility if that should be the case in future winters. Nevertheless, Thove is a great resource and told me about weather conditions and domestic travel concerns that even the train station and bus station employees chose not to do. She made the entire stay easier and even let us stay an extra night when we missed our flight. She is hospitable, communicative, available for assistance or advice on all matters travel-related in Norway and the property is approximately 40 minutes from Oslo Sentralstassjon by a bus that runs regularly and was always on time. (Thove even sent me schedules to match my daily itineraries, which was great.) She also provided maps for hiking and even brought us some groceries (we did not rent a car) and washed some of our clothes for us. I have only good things to say about her and the property (with the exception of lack of snow this year).”
This small social house is situated on the brink of a huge nature reserve, where the forest stretches for miles and miles. You probably will not meet the shy wolf and lynx, but you will see the hare and the deer. Neighbours are friendly, the city is close. I live here with my two labradors, using the annex as my private quarter. When you are visiting, we share the kitchen and the bathroom, and the big garden. I will ll be happy to show you trails, I often sleep outdoors. So can you, if you want.
“This little cabin was perfect for a peaceful retreat outside of Oslo! Nina really was a wonderful host and so were her two loving dogs. Not only is the cottage stunning, but also walking through the surrounding forest was truly an incredible experience. Nina lead us through the forests and we made a fire in the Norwegian cold, which is just one of the many things you can do around Enebakk. Only a half an hour bus into town, this really was the perfect destination!”
Summer house with 600 meters shoreline towards lake Lysern, just 45 minutes drive from Oslo. 2 bedrooms with double beds, one single bed. Suited for outdoor life, swimming, fishing and boat sports. 14ft boat with 5hk outboardmotor included (summer season).
“Finn's summerhouse is truely amazing! The house is cozy and the lake beautiful. The house is in fact quite lonely, no neighbours to speak of, especially in september (but even in high season you have your private forest and bathing places). Unfortunately we had some problems with the pump, that provides warm water to the house, but both Finn and his father were quick to help and made sure we had everything we needed! The house is equiped with everything you need, unlimited access to firewood, the boat and the Kanu are a special bonus! My only recommendation is that you have a good car - our rental mini car had to fight with the remote forest road.. So in short, we had a really great time and we would like to come back some time!”
