Si lo que buscas es descansar, conectar con la naturaleza, pasar un momento agradable en familia, este lugar es el indicado, está en las afueras de Nono, un pueblito colorido y cercano a Quito -Ecuador, mi familia y yo tuvimos un feriado increíble, los espacios son perfectos para disfrutar de actividades deportivas, caminatas, asados, noches de juegos y más Sin duda lo recomiendo.

Lugar muy bonito, hay mucho avistamiento de aves y la comida es espectacular.

Rancho Cañaveral, me recordó a Cabo Cañaveral en US. Nunca imaginé que las fotos podrían describir un lugar tan bello. Rodeado de palmeras, frente a la playa. Nos recibió Víctor, conserje amable y carismático que parece que nació para ese trabajo. El pasa todo el tiempo en las instalaciones de servicio, por lo que esta disponible 24/7, responde super rápido, y se conoce todos los rincones de la vía Pedernales - Cojimíes, por lo que les garantizo que sus recomendaciones son las mejores. Demás esta decir que el lugar es mágico y reconciliador, cuenta con un demasiados espacios recreativos y actividades. Me atrevería a decir que es el lugar perfecto para desconectar y descansar merecidamente. Mis hijos disfrutaron todo el tiempo, la casa es enorme, gigantesca! Rodeado de mascotas, es el alojamiento más pet frienly que he visitado. Es caro!, pero vale cada centavo. Seguro que volveremos pronto, espérenos... Nos quedamos con las ganas de una salida en barco, ya no nos alcanzó el tiempo.

We stayed at Julie's place as a quick weekend trip from Quito. We immensely enjoyed the beautiful setting right by the river, surrounded by lush greenery. The place itself is perfectly equipped with everything you might need, including good wifi, a clean bathroom, and enough kitchen equipment for preparing your own meals. Julie's communication before and during the trip was outstanding, with detailed information about the place and surroundings, recommending restaurants and activities. Hope to come back soon!

How to summarize a review for a place that has the potential to change your life has been a task. To stay with Cheryl and Jon at the Finca Aveterra is to be unplugged yet connected, cared for with generous hospitality, educated and informed of new ways of living; and for us specifically, reminded of who our Creator God is and the life He intended for us to live. It has been difficult to leave and felt like a departure from friends, family and home when we did. Cheryl was beyond gracious, helpful and thorough coordinating our arrival and departure, performing chef duties (unbelievable), connecting us to in-country travel means, greeting us in the middle of the night; Jon was passionately energetic sharing about syntropic agroforestry, touring us through the farm, the valley (!!), and both touring us through the lodge, sharing the fruit of their labor (literally), engaging conversation and generosity. Thank you for the time and grace of this beautiful place, Jon and CC. Con abrazos.

This is a lovely, custom-built little house in a scenic location. If you have a four-wheel drive vehicle it would be perfect. We came by taxi and didn't ask enough questions beforehand. It is four km from Nono and the last km is steep and requires a four-wheel drive. Our hosts shuttled us from the junction when we arrived and when we left, so we were fine. They live about a ten-minute walk from the house via a path that goes through fields. If you had a normal vehicle, I think you would park at their place, as their access road is drive-able with a normal car. The "living room with fireplace" is actually outside but enclosed on three sides. They provided wood and we were comfortable. They arranged a wonderful driver to take us to Yanacocha Biological Reserve. He grew up in Nono and had lots of local information. It was a great day trip. The house and hosts were awesome; just be prepared for remoteness. Don't plan on walking to a nearby restaurant or calling a taxi.

Nos encantó el lugar. Buscábamos con mi mamá un lugar para desconectarnos, lejos de la gente y el ruido. Que bonito el lugar, tener el río a lado es divino y estar a 15 minutos caminando a una cascada, realmente es lo que necesitábamos. Sin duda, regresaremos, tiene todo lo que buscamos, además que los masajes de Carmen también son espectaculares. Lugar totalmente recomendado para descansar y recargar energías.

Excellent set up and location. Very quiet and peaceful. The surroundings are beautiful. The sound of the river throughout the day makes it super relaxing. The photos are accurate. The room is cozy with big sliding doors, comfy king bed. The outdoor kitchen is stocked with everything we needed, and it was really nice to cook and eat outside and use the firepit in the evening. David was very friendly and helpful. To fully enjoy the place, one needs at least a couple of nights.

Muy lindo el sitio de Sandra, mucha naturaleza, turismo comunitario, excelentes personas. De camino se puede pasar por Cotacachi y Cuicocha. Es un lindo paseo y un sitio muy tranquilo lleno de naturaleza.
