Caserío Aurrekoetxe

Aurrekoetxe is a typical Basque farmhouse in the Mañaria area that is over 300 years old. Located below Mount Mugarra, on its southern face, it is surrounded by nature adjacent to the Urkiola Natural Park and just 2 km from the urban center of Mañaria. I live with my mother and my two daughters aged 14 and 11 in the same building but with another separate entrance, respecting the privacy of the guests and our own. We'll be happy to help you with whatever you need.

Tucked on a wild fertile mountain a 400 year old barn was renovated by artists with natural materials. It is crooked, it is colourful, it is wild and will throw you in an another universe for the time of your stay. You have to be nimble on your feet as the tiny access path is crooked and on a slope, and even the floor in the house tilted. A full immersion in a new world for total disconnection.

Beautiful apartment, completely exterior, in the historic center of Durango, a quiet and central area with all kinds of services less than a 2-minute walk away. The train station is a 5-minute walk away and the bus station is just 10 minutes away, making it easy to get to other places of interest.

The house is located in a rural setting 1 km from downtown. It faces south and the views from the property are beautiful. The property consists of two houses, one for the guests and one for the owners. And on the land there is a kiwi farm, we also have free-range chickens and two dogs.
