Gîte Le Sambre

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. The story of our houseboat, where modern comfort meets the soothing calm of the water, for a complete escape. Our houseboat has not been sailing for years, but in 2023 it was refurbished. The boat dates from 1947. It supplied barges with drinking water on the Meuse. It was brought back about 35 years ago to the Thuin shipyard, which no longer exists. It was a restaurant until 2022 and was then converted into a guest house.

Beautiful industrial loft totaly restaured. Located in our house, the loft is completely private, you share the entrance hall and the backyard with us. The loft features 1 kitchen 1 huge bedroom with a 1m80 width bed and a mezzanine with the sitting-room view. There is a also a cosy reading corner and a beautiful brand new bathroom with an italian shower. 65 square meters in total with air conditioning. Access to the jacuzzi is optional for 20€ bathrobes included.
