Vacation rentals with a kayak in Fightingtown Creek

I’m tempted to write a bad review so more dates will be available when I’m ready to come back. This was our 2nd visit and it was great again. So much to do without leaving the house. Fishing, kayaking, volleyball, badminton, ping pong, foosball, fire pit, board games, etc. Great price too! The only problem this time was that the WiFi was a bit spotty, even after a couple resets. Probably for the best though! Looking forward to our next visit soon hopefully.

My family and I loved this home at Lake Glenville! It had everything we needed. The views were incredible, and we really enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, riding the pedal boat, building campfires, and relaxing in the hot tub. We booked a boat tour with Lake Glenville Scenic Waterfall Cruises with Captain Mark. We saw a bald Eagle and the baby’s nest. We would gladly stay here again and hope to come in the fall sometime to see the foliage. I didn’t want to leave. Happ’s Place restaurant was great, and we enjoyed the shops in Cashiers and downtown Highlands, as well as hiking to a few waterfalls.

Amazing little getaway. House is very compact and spacey. The outdoor porch with the screen was great to keep the mosquitos away and when it got hot, they have 2 amazing wall fans that really helped out. beds were cozy and the house was clean and the area is peaceful. the neighbors are even very nice. would recommend 10/10. the access to the dock and kayaks were a huge bonus. would definitely be back again.

An amazing place with an amazing view. Tim communicated from day 1 and was there if needed. Home had plenty of amenities that made you feel at home. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a great place to stay! Would definitely stay again if possible.

This is our second time staying here for new years and it was great as usual. It is very peaceful at this property. Very clean and perfect for our group size. We would stay again.

I can't say enough about Lisa's home! It had everything listed and more. The thoughtfulness in the little details made this the best experience we have had with an Airbnb. This home is beautiful and the amenities at the lake were perfect. Our family had a wonderful week and hope to do it again in the future.

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. Five star

This place is a very cute basic place. With the kitchen having the basic appliances. Although it saids it can have 4 people it would have to be a very tight. Would definitely need to be some very close friends with the bathroom door being in the bedroom. The owners are very responsive the closer it was to our stay.

This is a great little house close to the lake for a getaway. The beach area was really quiet during our stay and is a short walk from the house. Just be warned, it is down a path with a section that is fairly steep, so may be difficult to carry all your lake gear to. The house was very clean and well stocked including a range of toys for multiple age groups which was a huge amenity. My only critique is the upstairs air conditioner (located in the master bedroom for the whole upstairs) did struggle a bit to keep up with it being hot and humid. The second bedroom was a little warm even with the box fan provided. Overall though, this was a great vacation getaway rental.

We had an awesome stay at Rebekah’s place! She told us about the bridge area/Olympic Park. They have a Food truck Friday! Great food and entertainment on the lake! Also spent a lot on time on the private boat dock! My family really enjoyed that, so much fun!

Gorgeous all around. We all agreed it was one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed at. Views from the house and access to the water and the outdoor dining area were splendid.

Aleksandr was great to work with. He was very responsive to my messages and very quick to communicate to make sure we were taken care of!

This property was fantastic, as was the communication with host, Dylan. The house was quaint, well decorated and most importantly, spotless when we showed arrived. When confirming check-out instructions, the host responded within minutes and made our exit as smooth and painless as possible. House is in a quiet, beautiful part of the Georgia mountains with delicious lake-side food less than a 10 minute drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, loved this house and it was perfect for the weekend away that we needed. We look forward to coming back and highly recommend this property to anybody interested. If you want a quiet place to connect with family and nature, this is it. Exactly as described in the listing and the photos show. We enjoyed all the area has to offer, but also found so much joy just hanging out at the cabin! There's some huge bass waiting for the right bait in the lake. In the evening, listen to the sounds of nature and keep an eye out for bear and turkey. We were fortunate enough to spot both this week! Check-in was easy, our hosts left good clear instructions for check out and the entire week was perfect... It went by all too fast! We would love to return again soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Mary's lovely home in Highlands!

We booked our stay the same day as check in. Akay was quick to respond and make us feel welcome. The cabin is very cute, cozy, comfortable and perfect for a couple getaway! As with other reviews, I found the bed very comfortable! We didn't use the kitchen, but it seemed fully stocked. You can see the house next door on one side, but it's high up on a hill, so not level. Compared to other cabins in Gatlinburg which are right on top of each other, it felt like more privacy. The sound of the creek was wonderful. THE GAME TABLE!!! That was a game changer for us. We looked forward to coming back at night after a day of exploring to play some fun games! It was really fun! We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful place for solitude and a serene quiet birthday. Amazing views, clean spacious accommodations. Little details matter and they covered them all including labeling the light switches! Loved it all!

My family has stated at this location numerous times since 2018. Situated on a small man-made lake in Cherry Log, the setting is very serene. We've stayed at a few of the cabins surrounding this lake and we generally prefer this location. The current owner (Corey) took over in 2021/2022 and has maintained the charm of the cabin and has made some upgrades (new furnishings, games, improved kayaks, and I believe an improved firepit). His communication was top-notch when my wife had a question about the location upon arrival. We would definitely look to stay again in the near future.

We had an amazing stay at Corey’s cabin! Corey was very polite and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. The cabin itself was peaceful and perfectly situated right in front of the lake, offering stunning sunrises and sunsets. We also appreciated that he had everything you could possibly need to enjoy the place, including kayaks and a canoe with all the necessary safety equipment for a tranquil ride on the lake. It was the ideal spot to relax, recharge, and enjoy nature. The surrounding areas were fantastic for walking, with plenty of breathtaking scenery, all without needing to drive for more than 30 minutes. We left feeling refreshed and would absolutely recommend this getaway to anyone looking for a serene escape. Can’t wait to return! 🌿🏞️
