Skipping Stone on Frenchman's Bay Weekly Rental

Our beachfront home is good for families and pets, with open plan, private bedrooms and an enclosed deck. The beach is perfect for cookouts, walking and exploring. We are nestled down a long gravel drive with quiet neighbors. The main floor bedroom (queen bed) accesses a screened sitting area. The downstairs bedroom (walkout basement) has twin beds and futon chair (single). We are 5 miles from the village, 2.5 miles from Acadia Visitor Center, and .5 miles from an Explorer stop.

Oceanfront Island: Hiker & Honeymooner’s Paradise

You can’t get any closer to the ocean! This is special. This is where artists are inspired. If you love nature and need quiet, calm and anonymity, look no further. The sunsets are unrivaled. Hike the preserve. Stare at the ever-changing ocean. Lobster boats come right up close to our pink granite, deep water frontage. No mudflats here. Floor -to -ceiling glass in the cozy cottage gives the illusion of being on a boat. Easy access to the island by bridge. Come breathe!

Quiet one-bedroom suite, nestled in the trees

Private, second-floor suite in a quiet, wooded neighborhood at the heart of Mount Desert Island. Spacious bedroom with comfortable king-sized bed, reading nook, ensuite bath, and views of gardens and pine forest. A short drive (15-20 minutes) to Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor, but surrounded by nature and away from the crowds. Please note: this space does not have a kitchen or living room, but a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and dishes are provided.

Charming cabin-inspired efficiency apartment on a quiet side street in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor. Just a stone's throw (literally) from Main St and a minute walk down the street to the ocean and Bar Harbor's famous Shore Path. High speed wifi, SmartTV with Netflix provided (HBO, Hulu, Amazon, etc. are available to use with your own account), washer/dryer, large closet, hair dryer, assorted supplies, Bose bluetooth player, and snacks.

The Goose Garden

Come and explore the other side of Acadia National Park. This serene one room getaway is located very close to many scenic views and numerous small trail heads by the Schoodic Peninsula including Tidal Falls Preserve (less than 2 miles away). Pick your own blueberries and walk to the ocean . Located 30-40 minutes drive from Acadia National Park in either direction including Schoodic Point, a national treasure.

Meadow Point Cottage

Meadow Point cottage is located on a very quiet five acre property with panoramic views of Frenchman's Bay and Mount Desert Island. It takes about thirty minutes to drive over to MDI and Acadia National Park. The property has a private beach for kayaking and woods with a picnic area and fire pit. It is a wonderful spot for walking and viewing wildlife; ducks, eagles, shore birds, seals and deer.

Lamoine Thuya Cottage

I hope you will enjoy this beautiful area of the U.S. from Thuya Cottage that I designed and built in 2008 using beams from my property. It is a weekly rental. Its named for the Thuya Cedar Tree visible from my round window. Go past #23, #41, my home. Drive s!ow!y to avoid wildlife! Bedroom and bath are upstairs and the kitchen has provisions.
