Groß Raden has an archaeological open-air museum with holiday programs and two restaurants. You can fish or swim from the dock or from a boat. To the Baltic Sea, to Schwerin as well as to Wismar and Rostock are about 45 km.

If you look over the Bülten you can see the Borner Mühle and the Ahrenshooper harbor on good days. In 25 minutes you can be at the Baltic Sea beach by car.
