“Loved this cozy hideaway. Came for a winter weekend with my dog to recharge, and it was perfect to unwind, unplug, and relax. Brett was a stellar host and made sure I had plenty of firewood and warmed up the cabin for my arrival. He even baked me some brownies! Lots of thoughtful touches around the cabin, like the plethora of candles to give you some cozy night time light. There’s plenty of great hiking just a short drive away, or you can wander around the grounds and check out the creek. I’d love to come back when the weathers warm and I can enjoy the fire pit and screen porch.”

“This is a basement with owners living upstairs but it’s wonderful. You get the whole basement to yourselves and it’s nice a cozy with a gas fireplace that turns in with a switch. Very pleasant hosts. Small refrigerators and no kitchen but again, it’s a great place with wonderful touches.”
Updates include new custom kitchen with concrete counters and stainless steel appliances, new bathroom with walk in shower and all around general updates. Cozy 2 bedroom home is located directly on the Kokosing river thought to translate from the Algonquin Indians and mean “River of the Little Owls.” The cabin is a short distance to Kenyon College, Apple Valley lake, Ohio Amish country and tons and tons of great parks, hiking trails, bike trails and hunting.
“This was such a great retreat away from everyday life! Our family needed some time to unplug and enjoy some time together and this was the perfect place to do so. It’s nestled in a cozy wooded area with a lot of privacy and our kids had so much fun exploring the backyard and the creek. The porch was the favorite place to hang out at and we had a fire every evening. The weather was unusually cold for May so we really loved having the hot tub! The outdoor shower was a super fun addition also. We can’t wait to visit again!”
