Vacation rentals with a firepit in Giles County

This is our second time staying with Karin. We were warmly welcomed by both Karin and her husband. The accommodations are lovely and comfortable. It is a great location if you are in town for a VT football game. We hope to be back next season.

Al was very responsive the couple of times I reached out. The fenced backyard was awesome for our 2 little dogs. A small dog bed (one of our dogs really liked it) and food/water bowls were provided. The bathroom has been recently updated and is very nice. The bedrooms are comfortable. There's no AC, but the house has a whole house fan (of which I'm a big fan, pun intended) that quickly cools down the house in the mornings/evenings. Very clean overall and quiet. The location can't be beat.

The house was perfect for our weekend stay. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The welcome basket of water and chips was a nice touch. Tommy was very easy to deal with and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We would definitely stay there again!

Susan and Dave are wonderful and very polite hosts that are always responsive if anything is needed. Ruby was an absolute delight. It was very peaceful in a beautiful area and their river front section of the property was beautiful. I will almost certainly be staying again in the future and I would definitely recommend staying at their gorgeous carriage home.

Perfect sized house for our group of 5! Loved the proximity of the house to Virginia Tech.....only took us about 10 minutes. Host was very friendly and responded to my questions quickly.

We came to Blacksburg for a football game and the house was about a 22 minute drive from campus. We had a great stay and Sean was an excellent host! The house was clean and organized-would definitely stay again. You will need to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash/soap. Other than that the house had plenty of towels, wash cloths, and kitchen supplies.

Wow! This home has a million dollar view of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The home was clean and welcoming with a spacious kitchen and dining table that was able to seat our entire large family. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The host was friendly and answered any questions that we had right away. The location of the home is great, as it is near skiing and tubing in the winter, golfing in the spring and four wheeling and rafting in the summer. There is a fire pit and a beautiful porch for sitting around and relaxing too. We enjoyed our stay!

This was such a peaceful and relaxing place to spend a few days. Kathryn was very responsive and helpful with directions and suggestions of things to do in the area. The place was very comfortable and we had a wonderful time visiting Floyd and the surrounding area.

What a lovely place to stay with sweet treats from the coffee shop on site. Just delightful! Highly recommend!

We arrived at the mill having driven out from Asheville the weekend of the hurricane. Adam & Marcie could not have been more helpful and sympathetic. We only wished we had booked to stay for longer as we needed time to decompress after our experience, however it really was the right place to be. Thank you very much

This was a great stay for us! Enough space for all of us to hang out comfortably, especially with access to the porch. We had a great time; Hinton is am underrated town, and the area is gorgeous.

This place was absolutely perfect. Owner responded very quickly and made the stay stress free. I could not have asked for anything better than this location.

Fantastic spot to spend the weekend. If you are hoping for peaceful stay, make sure to book here! Pamela thought of everything and had so many little touches that made the stay comfortable.

We had an absolute amazing time! It was exactly what we needed and more! The location was great and amenities great for a long weekend! Worth every penny!! The only note for future visitors is you are able to hear your neighbors through the walls but as long as you are respectful and understanding, it’s no problem at all! We can’t wait to come back for many more trips!! Thank you Sam and Tim for the wonderful place!

This location was perfect for a weekend visit with our Hokie. We walked easily to/from downtown for the events we attended. Accommodations were quaint and clean, as described. Will definitely book again!

This cabin was wonderful. It had everything you needed for the stay and the host was amazing, anytime we message for question she messaged back always within 5-10 minutes at the most usually shorter times. The cabin is located on a private drive surrounded by neighbors, but the ones we did see where friendly and always waved. There is also plenty to do around the cabin like hiking, fishing, and just about anything outdoors you wanna do. Most things are 30-45 minutes away depending on what your doing. Anyways long story short of you looking for a great place to stay with a great host come here and enjoy a cozy cabin and some nature.

Great place! Quiet, peaceful, and a nice base camp for exploring the Roanoke area. We had a wonderful timw, and the host was quick to respond to questions (mainly asking about background of the cabin and area). No issues, wonderful place! Highly recommend it!

Great place to stay for a romantic getaway. Me and my girlfriend stayed here for our anniversary and it was lovely. You will not be disappointed. Do note that sports cars will struggle with the driveway, lots of twists and turns with some steep grades but we made it in a ford fusion no problem.

My fiancé and I stayed in Red Bud with our little dog for 6 nights and loved it so much! The view was incredible and we enjoyed how quiet our surroundings were. Having a cup of coffee on the porch every morning was like a dream. The cabin was clean and very well stocked. We were surprised because it had everything we needed plus more! Most cabins are bare bones but not this. Also if you are someone in need of internet, the internet was perfect and gave us no trouble. We also arrived at night and it was of course very dark, I messaged Rich to help us get to the cabin and he called me and stayed on the phone with us until we were there, which was super appreciated. As far as activity recommendations, the immediate area is pretty remote, but we drove one day (about 40 mins maybe?) to Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory (short but very pretty hike!) and then went to the Cheese ‘n More Store for a sandwich after. The perfect day trip! Both are worth the drive/visit. We will be back!
