The Willow Cottage is a three-bedroom, two-bath single floor house located 1 mile from the Natural Bridge, 12 miles from Lexington, VA and close to many family-friendly activities. The house overlooks an idyllic pastoral scene: cows graze in the fields cut through by a winding mountain stream. The wide porch provides a perfect place to enjoy sunrises with a cup of coffee or to count the stars with a glass of wine. It is truly a place to come relax and feel refreshed.
“This was the perfect place to recharge our souls!! The breathtaking view never got old. We loved sitting out on the balcony, reading a good book, and enjoying our surrounding. The hosts thought of all the little details that made our stay so pleasant and comfortable...like the games and puzzles, juice boxes for the kids, the shampoo and body wash came in handy , as did the laundry detergent that I didn’t think we’d need! We really appreciated all the kitchen items that were available too. The bird feeder was a huge hit as our kids got a crack out of watching the birds and squirrels eating all the seeds. Chasing fireflies was another favorite for them each night! Our itinerary was full each day: Caverns at Natural Bridge, holing at Natural Bridge State Park, Jordan’s Point Park to play in shallow water and skip rocks, VA Safari Park (incredible experience!), and a 40 min drive to Panther Falls swimming hole. As for dining: Scotto’s pizza and Pink Cadillac diner was delicious! We loved coming back to our home base to shower (it was HOT), nap, and relax before heading out again. An all around incredible stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back again!”

“This place is awesome. It pretty much has everything except a TV (which honestly on a vacation in the mountians you don't really need to spend time watching). Sprint users won't get any cell service out here so keep that in mind. My wife and I were able to stay here with our 1 1/2 yo daughter. We had to be careful around the loft and ladder, but the place was actually pretty baby proof over all. The stocked kitchen was great. We enjoyed going down to the creek, roasting marshmallows, traveling to natural bridge, and opening the windows to listen to storms. Few things to definitely highlight: the roads to the cabin are rather rough. You turn off of blue ridge parkway onto a fire road that has had gravel put on it. A sedan can certainly make it through, but take it SLOW until you get a feel for the roads. If you have a lowered car, I'm sure you would get stuck or bust your car up bad. The place is or at least feels off the grid. Be ready to 30-45 minutes to get to civilization and some of the attractions in town (but the drive is half the fun!) Water/power/landline are connected, so if there is a storm it is possible to lose all three of these at the same time (happened to us). Lastly, the fridge is small, but really, it's fine just plan ahead. Overall this cabin is so cool, very well built and designed. It is a great experience staying there.”

“Thank you, Hallie, for providing us with the perfect "quarantine break"! Your studio apartment is cosy and immaculately clean. Your responses were quick and your directions were very clear. As we arrived after dark, we, really, appreciated the details and the picture that you provided (especially, as I am wearing a boot cast on my right foot!) Again, thank you for being a lovely host.”
