I can confidently say this was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Christine is an exceptional host — warm, responsive, and thoughtful in every detail. Her place in Picton is perfectly located near the lake, offering a peaceful, scenic setting that instantly puts you at ease. The home itself is cozy, beautifully maintained, and truly feels like a home away from home. Everything was spotless and well-equipped, and it's clear a lot of care went into creating such a welcoming space. I honestly didn’t want to leave! It’s also a great spot for remote work — the internet is reliable and fast, and the Unifi networking gear made staying connected seamless. Thank you again, Christine — I’ll absolutely be back!

Great location for our first time in PEC and in the Spring. We wanted something outside of town with water views and this delivered. Arriving at Desta feels like coming somewhere you’ve been before and the nights were very quiet. Only a 5 minute drive from downtown Picton to grab a croissant & latte in the morning or dinner in the evenings. There is no fenced in yard for pups (as mentioned in the listing) but there is a large outdoor space to bring them out on leash. Brenda was very informative and friendly, she knows the area extremely well (especially about dog friendly places!).

Cottage is very clean, kitchen is fully stocked and host is very informative.

What a treat! Beautifully situated right on the waters’ edge. Lots to do!! We visited the charming town of Picton when the weather was nice! Lots of cute shops and great places to eat! On the rainy day we had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tub while enjoying the view, cooking meals in the gourmet kitchen and watching movies on the jumbo tv! Perfect spot for a girls’ weekend or for a couples retreat!
