Nostalgia

A charming house from the 1800s with a great atmosphere. The property is beautifully located by the lake overlooking Ålesund and Sunnmørsalpene. Only 15 min by car from Ålesund city and the nearest airport, but is still a place that gives peace of mind. Outside the garden there is cultivated land with grazing animals in late summer. The island of Giske itself is a gem with a marble church from the Middle Ages, beaches, untouched nature and bird life. The island was once home to Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs, and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

The lower floor has a double door, a view of the fjord, and a private toilet/laundry room and fridge/freezer.

High standard waterfront house at Alnes fishing village

The cabin is located right down by the seafront in the harbor of Alnes with panoramic views of both the fjord and the ocean. It is fascinating to watch the bird life and boat traffic. The light changes throughout the day, you can see both sunrise and sunset from the living room window. This is a place where you can find peace. Right outside the living room door there are well-marked, varied hiking trails. You can also go on day trips to Ålesund, Geiranger and Runde. On the neighboring island there is a water sports center with equipment rental.

Annex with a fantastic view

Enjoy the fantastic view from this idyllic granary located on Valderøya outside Ålesund. The granary is over a hundred years old, but it has been renovated. NOTE: The granary has electricity, but no running water or toilet. Guests can use the shower and toilet in the main house, which is 30 m away. The bathroom in the main house is used only by you guests, and access to the rest of the main house is restricted. There are 5 litres of water available in the refrigerator. Location on Skredestranda, about 3.5 km from Årvik ferry dock, in a quiet and peaceful area. Here you can relax and recharge your batteries. You may be lucky to see a flock of sperm whales in the fjord, or see eagles and deer. Rovdefjorden is a busy fjord for both large and small boats, as well as cruise ships on their way to/from Geiranger. The cabin is located 20 m from the lake, where there are good fishing opportunities (rod). Steep rocks and shallow depths. We have life jackets available.

Surrounded by the Sunnmørsalpene, between Ørsta and Ålesund lies this unique waterfront house. A perfect starting point for mountain hiking and other attractions in Sunnmøre. Within an hour or two you can reach famous places such as Geiranger, Åndalsnes, Loen and the amazing bird island Runde. The Atlantic Park in Ålesund is also worth a visit. In Ørsta, 20 min. away, there are plenty of shops and restaurants.

Edel House is the oldest house in Goksøyr, and situated on the path to the mountain and birdrocks. It is built in 1816, so we can describe the house as a grand old lady, who like all elderly personages, has her quirks and personality, and we hope that you our guests will look upon these with mild friendly eyes and a holiday spirit.
