We stayed at Katerina’s place for 6 nights while I was cleaning my aunts place out after moving her to assisted living. Her home was about 10 minutes from Katerina’s place, in Cartersville. The closest hotels are about 45m-1hr away in Farmville or Richmond. While it would have been a bit cheaper to stay at a hotel, I wasn’t looking forward to a 2 hr round trip every day, so I was lucky to find this place. The cabin has a beautiful view of the river. It was nice to have the hot tub to soak in after long, dusty days. Katerina was responsive to questions. The bed was a bit firm for our taste, but everyone has their own standards there. I got a chance to take a walk around the property and it’s lovely- very picturesque. Overall we had a nice stay, and if you are looking for seclusion, privacy, and peace, this has all those things. If you are looking for those things plus a modern aesthetic, you’ve found the place, hands down.

Good place for solo, couple, family, or many . We had a group. Of course some backed out, others came. Great flexibility on accommodations. Felt comfortable and relaxing. Well stocked, above and beyond the rate/costs. Very pleased with our choice of staying there.

We loved our stay at this beautiful farmhouse. Easy, scenic drive from Richmond. It's a very peaceful, quiet area but a quick 20 minute drive to restaurants and shopping. Our youngest loved running around in the large front and side yard. So much better than being cooped up in a hotel! The interior is beautifully restored - we loved the old wood and the large windows. It's clean and decorated thoughtfully with a great blend new and antique furniture and appointments. Liv and Mike were exceptional hosts and we were grateful for their warmth and hospitality. We wouldn't hesitate to return!

Very nice, clean, comfortable house. Private & peaceful location! Perfect place to get away from work in the city. Host was very responsive and ensured we were taken care of. Thanks for a great stay!

This was our second stay at the Home stretch and it was great again. It is a very relaxing location but close enough to the city of Richmond. We stayed for the weekend and the hosts made us feel comfortable right away and were very responsive. We would stay here again if we are in the area.

We had a wonderful stay. I’m so glad to find a place that still has acreage instead of townhouses, small homes, & apartments. The property is beautiful with fields in all directions. My dogs have never been happier. We went out every day for walks. The dogs had the zoomies to their hearts content. The house is much like my great grandmother’s making me feel right at home. The bed was comfy. We had our coffee on the sofa looking out the windows. The basement was comfortable with rockers, the dining area & tv. It was a chilly weekend but the heater helped warm us with heat and ambiance. We had all that we needed in the kitchen. The location is about 30 minutes to Richmond or Midlothian. So nice to have the beauty of a farm with access to a city filled with fun and history. Thanks Ellen! Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic accommodations - apartment seemed close to new with plenty of room & private bathroom for each bedroom & big walk-in closets. Nice common area between bedrooms. Great dog park & areas to walk dog. Would definitely stay with Anna again & highly recommend.
