“We had the most peaceful, restorative few days away surrounded by exquisite views of the lake and woodland where we spotted deer, goslings, geese and lambs. The log cabin is the most magical Airbnb you could find. Clean, spacious, stylish and cosy. It's the kind of place you'd find in an interior magazine. Fern has thought of everything! BBQ ready to go, sun beds to relax in the sunshine, fresh herbs to add to our take away pizzas, warm fluffy towels in the bathroom and the most comfortable bed. It really was absolutely perfect in every single way. Fern is such a welcoming, friendly host that couldn't have done more to help. We were so sad to have to leave but have decided to come back for a longer stay next time. We couldn't think of a more perfect place to have a summer holiday.”

The Hopper Hut originally served as temporary accommodation for hop pickers. It used to house up to four families from London on their working holidays. Today, following extensive restoration, the unique square building welcomes visitors once again. Nestled on a working farm in an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it offers sweeping views of Bewl Water reservoir and surrounding farms. A perfect weekend base from which to explore South East England.
“The Hopper Hut is the perfect place to stay if you want peace, privacy, amazing views and comfort. You can start your reservoir walk directly from the hopper hut too. Lots of nice touches like fresh flowers, eggs, milk, bread and delicious homemade jam. Great shower, cosy wood burner, comfy bed and seats. What a lovely place to stay, would 100% recommend. Definitely go to the The Bull in the village, great food and cosy fires.”
