Waterfront vacation rentals in Grant County

This was our 2nd time staying at Julie's Cozy Cabin. Beautiful, peaceful, and private best describe the place. All of the added extras from the farm fresh eggs to the freshly baked banana bread are also appreciated. Highly recommended!!

Our family had a wonderful time at the Mississippi Waterfront cabin. It was secluded (in the winter time) with plenty of space for the kids to go outside and play. The listing showed 2 bedrooms, but there is a 3rd private bedroom in the basement that made this an extra good value.

Nice quiet place. Beautiful natural surroundings. Decent restaurant choices within 10 miles radius. State parks with walking trails within a 30 mins driving distance. Also enjoyed the board games and Foosball table. Gary was a helpful and responsive host. Highly recommend this place.

I was looking for a place to spend a few days with my parents in their 80th and we absolutely loved it there. All of us enjoyed sunsets, river view, air, fall colors, fireplace. Décor of the house made us feel right home. The kitchen is well equipped: everything you need to cook if you chose to do so. Don’t expect commercial level fishing from a river bank, but we caught variety of fishes -enough for couple of fry-outs and fish soup. We had most luck fishing at the Riverside Park. Mary was easily reachable with amazingly fast response time and very helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend this Airbnb.

Mandi’s place was ideal for a peaceful, quiet get away. We loved sitting on their deck watching the eagles, pelicans and barges go by. There were various places to hike nearby as much or as little as we wanted. We chose Effigy Mound National Monument one day and Pikes Peak State Park the other and both were well worth the time spent. We went to the pub - restaurant literally across the street for a lunch and sat on their deck enjoying the river scenes. The kitchen was equipped with anything we needed for meals at t home. The bed was comfy and we slept great! We reserved this gem again before leaving!

We loved our stay at this adorable little cabin. The view of the lake was beautiful, the open living area was great for hanging out, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. I will definitely look at staying here again in the future for another relaxing weekend!

It's just what our group was looking for, enough room for up to 12 people easy, we had a great time, spent alot of time on the beautiful view patio right on the Mississippi River, everything you needed was right there and felt like home. We will book again next year for the potosi brewfest, met Gina and Shane, delightful people.

I highly recommend this cabin! The pictures don’t do it justice—it’s even more beautiful in person. It’s cozy, quaint, and the “woodsy” décor throughout, from the bear lamps to the tables and walls, adds the perfect touch. Every last detail makes this cabin feel so cozy and just what you’re looking for in a cabin weekend getaway! We initially considered staying farther from Prairie du Chien, but ultimately chose a spot closer to the downtown action, and it ended up being the perfect decision! You get the best of both worlds—easy access to downtown and that peaceful “cabin in the woods” vibe. The views of the water were incredible. We stayed with another couple, and it was perfect for two couples, but there’s definitely room for more with the second bed in the loft and the large basement, which has a futon and space for air mattresses.

AMAZING location and just what we hoped for. We booked this location for a quiet getaway for my birthday and our anniversary. We hoped for amazing fall weather and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Jim was responsive from the day we booked this place and was there to greet us and show us his amazing land. We loved the privacy of the tent and enjoyed walking the trails in the property. It was so peaceful at night by the fire and can't thank Jim for allowing the opportunity to getaway and spend the weekend at this location. There are great small towns with restaurants around. We had dinner at Breitbach's just a short drive from our location and then drove into Dubuque for brunch. We loved everything about this place and why go to a boring hotel when you can camp out in nature and enjoy God's creation. Highly recommend it!!!
