“This place is so adorable and surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna. The whole complex is filled with the same beauty. Everything you need (groceries, liquor, restaurants, boat and golf cart rentals) is so close you can walk to it. We are all in our 60’s and had no problem with the walk. The beds in this unit were very comfy I slept like a baby. The WiFi worked great. Ivan is awesome and very friendly, he is right next door if you need anything and he is quick to help. If you are looking to rent a boat, kayaks or golf cart please do it in advance. Thanks to Uli for this awesome rental.”
Serenity Cottage is a charming traditional Bahamian cottage with all the conveniences that a modern traveler expects as well as views of the stunning, usually deserted, white sand beach which is only steps away. Come to relax, fish and explore!
“Lucinda is a wonderful host. She is very proactive in communicating with her guests. She was not present when we were visiting, but she made sure to let us know whom to reach out to in case of need. She has also followed up with us during our stay, to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our holidays. The cottage is lovely, very well equipped. Lucinda has thought of every need for someone staying on holidays in the Abacos. The cottage is located on a stretch of a beautiful beach. Being there and witnessing the low and high tide on daily basis, one's experiences are very much enriched. The pullout couch and the other beds were very comfortable at the cottage, making it a comfortable stay for a family of 6. As I am writing this review, there is much sorrow, as this beautiful community of the Abacos has suffered a tremendous loss due to Hurricane Dorian. But once they will rebuild what has been lost, it is an amazing place to visit. A stay at the Serenity Cottage is well positioned to explore different areas of the island and the nearby Cays.”
Humble and simple built in the '70s 1 of 4 cottages secluded on an acre of wooded property where you can hear the waves and seek shade from one of the many fruit trees on property. 2 min walk to Treasure Cay beach. Queen bed with a futon in the living area. Min of 3 nights. Immersed in nature.
“Wow! A true Bohemian and authentic location. Exactly as described. 5 stars all the way!! This place is an absolute gem! Thank you to our host, Danette for sharing this special treasure with us; we hope to come back. Some of our best memories were created here. The bungalows are adorable, clean and nestled in the beauty of nature; offering all the amenities you need. Just a short walk to a private and pristine beach where our kids (9 & 5) spent hours playing in the sand and swimming in the ocean. We were greeted each morning by the friendly and adorable resident kitties (Boo, Pumpkin, & Spook) who joined us on many of our walks. We rented a golf cart to take us into town (10 minutes away) where we enjoyed the beach at Coco's and the pool area just a bit further down. We dined a few nights at Treasure Sand, two minutes from our stay at the bungalow. The food, views, and pool there are amazing, although pricey. Danette takes pride in what she does and is VERY hospitable, thoughtful, accomodating, and helpful. We enjoyed fresh and sweet baby tomatoes from her lovely garden! She arranged a golf cart for us, a grocery store delivery, and gave us aloe leaves from her garden to help with pretty severe sunburn. This is a PERFECT and pristine spot for those looking to enjoy authenticity and simplicity of nature. One tip: if flying into Marsh Harbor (1/2 hour away), good idea to stock up on groceries at Maxwell's before arriving to property (taxi will bring you). Otherwise, cab ride from bungalow back there is VERY expensive. From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you for sharing this beautiful property with us to enjoy!”
