Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Grimes County

The home we stayed in was lovely. The inside was beautiful and well stocked with pots , pans, washing machine, dryer-just like home. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept like a baby. The house is 35 minutes away from college station and the drive was direct and pleasant to and from college station. Easy to find even at night-there was a big sign on the road so you would not miss it. I would rent this home again and we had a lovely weekend. We were there for family weekend. The host, house and the surroundings was fabulous and I would suggest this rental to anyone. The porch was so lovely-there is a swing and I had my coffee in the morning on that swing. The host was very nice. When we got there she gave us a quick run down on the house. When I had a question it was answered quickly. The place was nice! As listed in the description. Had lots of fun in the pool and use the fire pit to make s’mores. Very peaceful and quiet! We will defiantly be back!! Had a wonderful time

Very happy with this cabin. There's a very friendly can that greats guests. The train can be a bit loud at times. We had a lovely time and definitely recommend this spot for a romantic private getaway.

The house is comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well stocked and great for cooking. Most of all Kathy has been great and patient with us throughout our entire stay. We appreciate all her help.

We had a wonderful time at the magical forest. It was a good getaway from all the hustle and bustle. Everything was just as described. We lit a fire and enjoyed chatting out on the deck overlooking the water. I flipped the canoe the first day we were there and had everyone rolling. At the time I didn’t think it was so funny. The water was a bit cold at first! I enjoyed the feeding the fish and just the peace and quiet of it all. We walked the trails and swam in the pool. I noticed that there was wedding arbor which looked like a great spot for a country wedding. AC kept it nice and cool and the WiFi was very strong. Plenty of stuff to watch and steaming services to use when you want to relax and watch something. We loved the high ceilings and windows overlooking the water and the morning sun shining through. This is a great place to get away and Aimee was a great host. She was quick to respond the few times we had questions. Loved our trip to Magical Forest!

This was the perfect place to relax and escape the chaos before and after our daughter’s wedding at a nearby venue. We loved the history of the home and the surrounding area. We plan to visit again soon.

Loved Sue’s place and we want to plan a return visit. Very clean and private. Loved sitting out by the fire pit looking at the stars.

Our second stay here and it was as splendid as we remembered. Peaceful and quaint. We will be back!

This place was incredibly peaceful and exactly the getaway I needed. The horses also gave us a nice welcome upon our arrival. I wish it was a tiny bit cheaper so I could visit here more often but with all of the amenities and the quiet I can't really blame them for what they're asking. I would love to visit there again
