“I have stayed in converted travel trailers before and this one is by far the best designed. Hosts' description tells it all, no unwelcome surprises. Although compact, everything is there for comfort and function. The outdoor amenities (deck, BBQ grill, hot tub, outdoor shower, fire pit, hammock) are nicely laid out and under a canopy of live oaks. With the comfortable accommodations being in an Airstream trailer (22 feet?) and the wooded setting, the overall experience is of spaciousness and seclusion.”
This log cabin sits on a beautiful piece of the Hill Country. Smith Creek meanders through the 10 acres that Jen and Gregory share with their guests, who rave about their scenic nature walks, relaxing hot tub soaks, or night time fireside chats.
“Me, my boyfriend, and my dog had an incredible time at Jen & Greg's cabin! It's even cuter than the pictures and the property it's on is soooo beautiful. We had an amazing time exploring down by the river, soaking in the jacuzzi, and sitting by the fire at night. The cabin itself was quiet, clean, comfortable, and so cozy! Jen & Greg left lots of thoughtful touches too (farm fresh eggs in the fridge, treats for my dog, a bag of local coffee, etc). The cabin has a bathroom indoors but there's also an outdoor shower that was so nice to use after the jacuzzi. The bed was super comfy too and the kitchen was quite spacious for it being a smaller place. We were able to cook dinner & breakfast together no problem. I HIGHLY recommend staying here!! It was even better than we were expecting it to be. It feels private & secluded but was super easy to find thanks to Jen & Greg's directions. This was one of the most positive Air BnB experiences I've had! We're already planning a return trip for this winter. Thanks Jen & Greg for being such wonderful hosts and sharing your gorgeous cabin with us!”
At the tip top of the Texas hill country, the Birdhouse offers endless views from the bedroom balcony while providing a rustic feel with modern amenities. It is the perfect spot to feel both lost and found all at once. Single weeknight stays are available 2 weeks in advance. Minimum age for guests is 12.
“What a cute place where you can relax and enjoy each other's company! The bed was perfect - the view on the balcony is amazing, both during the day and at night (it was our favorite spot). The only downside is that the area downstairs is really small; bathroom/shower/sink/dining table/kitchen are all within a 5 feet radius, so there's not much privacy or space. Plenty of snacks/pop in the fridge (bring your own ice box though, the fridge is little and doesn't get that cold) and cactus, birdy-themed decorations. There are bugs, but most of them are not harmful (it's very close to nature, so that should be expected). It's really cozy though, if you don't let those little things bother you. We stayed in the first night, went hiking @ Dinosaur Valley State Park, shopping @ historic courthouse square, and sipping @ Farina's Winery the next day. We finished the trip with a mile-trail on the property the morning before we left. It was perfect. Would love come back when more cabins are finished. :)”
