Cozy and private stand alone apartment above a little used, two-car garage in beautiful southern Vermont. Country setting, remote yet accessible via a paved road. We're only two minutes to 91 and five minutes to downtown Brattleboro, one of Vermont's most vibrant small towns. Forty minute drive to Mt. Snow ski area. Lovely view of neighboring farm with forested hillside and beaver pond. Eat-in kitchen, comfortable living room with queen-size futon couch and bedroom with a queen-size bed.
“Had a great stay at Jake’s place. Not too bad of a drive to Mt. Snow, probably like 45 min or so. It was exactly what we were looking for, a warm cozy apartment that had what we needed. The TV had Netflix too so we were able to watch the office all night. Jake was also a great communicator which was a plus. There was one common area, kitchen bathroom and one bedroom. The futon comfortably fits too people unlike other futons I’ve slept on. I definitely recommend!”
Renovated schoolhouse full of charm with a farmhouse feel. Located across the street from the picturesque fairgrounds. Misty morning view includes classic red Vermont barns. Big yard with apple trees and lots of room to play or just relax.
“Kelsey’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway in Southern Vermont! Super easy check in, Kelsey answered right away when we had a question, and she even had a fire going for us when we came in- talk about hospitality! Her place is about 15 mins from Brattleboro, which was great because we spent most of our Saturday exploring the downtown area. The entire house was spotless with plenty of space. The loft upstairs is definitely difficult to get to if you have any mobility issues, as it is very steep with no railing. No worries though because there is also a bedroom downstairs. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook if you’d like with plates, utensils, pans, etc. A big yard with the prettiest set of corn hole, lots is space to lounge around, and even a comfy hammock. I would definitely recommend her place to anyone else looking to stay!”
This spacious studio apartment is located in the former Swedish Congregational Church in historic Swedeville, a secluded hilly neighborhood built by Swedish immigrants in the 1800's. For years it housed Rick and Liza’s stained glass studio, which they have now lovingly and creatively transformed into a residence. The rental is minutes from the interstate and one mile from downtown Brattleboro, but the neighborhood has a rural and somewhat European flavor to it.
“This was the perfect place for a creative retreat! Liza’s place is beautiful with so many thoughtful details- art, local recommendations, even a box of my favorite tea! Liza and Rick were gracious hosts -quick to answer any of my questions! I loved waking up to views of the garden and forest. With its location in walking distance of downtown and hiking trails, I could not have asked for anything more. I will definitely be back!”
