“By good luck, we arrived in Barbie's place in North Key Largo on March 15th, 2020 just as the world started to get crazy. We stayed for two and a half months, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pictures don't do the place Justice. When we saw them, we were concerned it might be a double wide mobile home with the creaky floors and all the poor construction that entails. The place is solid as a rock. Despite being raised, the floors did not have any creaky bits. It is quite spacious, with the kitchen living room area being very comfortable for two, and I think it would be for four as well. If you got to six, which would fill all the beds, it would be crowded but there is a great porch out front and a gas grill/ outdoor dining area for six with an umbrella on one side. The decor is quite something. With numerous Asian wood carvings (Thai?) and beach appropriate artwork. The entire place is very light and airy. The location is great, almost directly between John Pennenkamp State Park (2.3 miles) and Dagny Johnson State Park (2 miles). An easy walk or bike ride to either, with a nice bike path that heads down the keys. There's a county park across U.S. 1 with great sunsets and a nice swimming hole (an old boat basin opening up onto Florida Bay). Lots of restaurants and tiki bars. Publix 3 miles down the road and Instacart normally delivers in two hours. So all good. Shortly after we got there, they locked down the Florida Keys by setting a roadblock on U.S. 1 a few miles north of us. They literally threw all the tourists out and then started closing things down. (We just squeaked in under the long term stay exemption.) So although we didn't get to do the diving we had hoped to (either tiki bar or scuba), it turned out to be a great place to be locked down with the bike path and the county park for swimming. Landlady Barbie was always very responsive although there wasn't anything we actually needed. The place was well equipped with everything we needed. So one of those places I hate to recommend because I want it to be available the next time I want to go back to Key Largo. A memorable stay. Highly recommended.”
Charming "Tiny House" Cottage on a Canal in Key Largo. Amazing location for boaters, fisherman and alike. This is a quaint close knit RV park where you can keep to yourself or wander around and enjoy happy hour with new local friends. Bar none the best kayak, paddle board and fishing area. Two Tandem Kayaks and two paddle boards included in rental.
“This place was so great! Sparkling clean and very cozy- it feels like home. Vivian was a helpful and responsive host, and had great suggestions for local food and drink. The porch area and tiki bar are right on the water, and we easily could have spent the entire vacation at the rental. The kayaks and SUPs are such a fun perk - we explored the mangroves and nearby cove, and saw lots of wildlife. It’s in a private gated community, but is centrally located and close to Miami, the Everglades, Biscayne, and other attractions. If anything, I think Vivian downplays how great her place is. It was so fun and I’d highly recommend for anyone who wants a relaxing place to stay in the keys. I hope to go back someday!!”

“HOST: A+ Eric was very responsive and gave wonderful personal touches. This was our honeymoon, and he noted that in special ways! LOCATION: The best value in Key Largo, and perhaps the Florida Keys at large. Don't be fooled by its modular appearance. This place felt like a private island cottage nestled in a quaint, gated campground. You'll feel shielded from the bustle of civilization, even while you'll have neighbors close by in the complex. All resort staff were friendly and helpful. Access to pool was a nice plus. Many nearby restaurants and natural areas within 10 minute drive. AMENITIES: Building was clean and up to date. The kitchen has everything you need for a quick getaway. There's even a golf cart for your entertainment! PRO TIP: Don't take the golf card off the resort premises unless you want to get pulled over by the local police! Awkward...”
