“Great stay in the pension Anahata at Isabelle and Pascal! A beautiful place (with a view and a frame that better than in photo) and a sincere kindness! Good plans, private tours (rather accessible or cheaper compared to tours on the islands, but being alone). The rooms are very good, the magic terrace and the private beach (one of the few on Tahaa) at the top. In short, we recommend, discover Tahaa is a chance and discover it from the Anahata pension is yet another! The only point to have in mind: travel once on the island is not easy (except to use the paid routes proposed by Isabelle and Pascal), the island being wild there are not many tourist points, and those there are (restaurant, rum, vanilleraie, pearl plantation) are accessible by car only (or bike, provided on site). Go there with your eyes closed! And thank you again !”
A bientôt!
“Thierry and Vaiana's place is spectacular. Whenever people think about French Polynesia, they picture overwater bungalows in Bora Bora. For my boyfriend and I, that's completely out of our price range. This was our second visit to Tahiti, and we visited Tahaa and Huahine this time. The first time we went, we stayed with local Tahitian families and it was incredible to feel and learn about Tahitian culture authentically. We also realized how overrated those overwater bungalows are, which is why we opted to stay with Tahitian families again on our second visit to Tahiti. Thierry and Vaiana's place is right on the water. You walk 20 feet out of where you're staying and the water is right there, just like it is in the photos of their home. The coral garden in front of their home is spectacular. The water is too shallow to snorkel around the coral (we were afraid of damaging their incredible lagoon), but so clear that we would walk around the mid-thigh deep water and observe the fish swimming around. We even saw a moray eel! We had guests drop out of our trip at the last minute because of health issues, and unfortunately one of the guests could drive manual and a boat. Neither my boyfriend or I knew how to do either one of those things, so we were a bit stuck at Thierry and Vaiana's place until we found an e-bike shop. They live past the end of the road, about 10 minutes hiking (we recommend hiking boots or good walking shoes). To get down to the home from the end of the road that is inaccessible via a 2WD. If you're comfortable traveling by boat, they can give you a quick and easy ride to town. Their place was one of the best we've stayed in so far on Airbnb. Their home itself was comfortable and incredibly spacious, with a well-stocked kitchen of supplies and tools. We cooked dinner every night in their home, and had access to fresh coconuts - we drank fresh coconut juice and made coconut milk every night. If you're visiting Tahaa with a family, Thierry and Vaiana's place is picture perfect for that relaxing, beachside vacation in Tahiti. Their hospitality was unparalleled - they went above and beyond in checking in on my boyfriend after he sprained an ankle and had a hard time walking. We absolutely enjoyed our stay in paradise at their place in Tahaa, and would recommend their place for people who love being by lush greenery and water.”
Logement assez convivial, entouré d'eau et d'animaux.
“Kiki’s parents, Helene and Marcel, were my hosts. Genuinely hospitable and kind, they made every effort to make me feel welcome and at home. They take pride in all the services they offer and their island tours and dinners are second to none! They are loved and respected by everyone. Everywhere I went with them, I was treated like a friend. I enjoyed learning about Polynesian cuisine with Helene. The house is surrounded by bodies of water and mountains. In the early evening, walking around the neighborhood and watching the sunset colors from the footbridge is a feast for the senses. Taha’a is now my favorite island and I would love to go back!”
