Meander down a country road to escape all the hustle and bustle, and enjoy the peace and quiet offered on the farm. The Glamper is located on our family farm which is approximately 15 minutes south of Salem down scenic Highway 19 South on a country road. We are 20 minutes from Montauk State Park, 20 minutes from Echo Bluff State Park, and located close to numerous canoe rentals along the beautiful Current River.
“Stayed just for one night after a long day of driving, and it was the perfect get away. Absolutely loved the location, far but not too far from beautiful places and the town! Adorable beagles greeted us when we arrived and made us feel loved, then we were able to get some awesome sleep in the comfy camper. Everything was so clean and unique, the decorations Mary Ann put into this RV really make it feel like a home away from home! Jim took us with him on his route to feed the cattle and it was one of the best and most fascinating things I have ever witnessed. Absolutely beautiful location, place and people. Already planning to come back!! 11/10 Recommended”
Located down a gravel road and surrounded by rolling farmland, our rock house offers guests a place to relax and unwind. The home is located 13 miles south of Salem, on a 400 acre working cattle farm. We’re 20 minutes from Montauk State Park, Echo Bluff State Park and numerous canoe rentals along Current River. Mark Twain Nation Forest is near the property, so feel free to take a walk or bring your bike and enjoy a ride down the gravel road. Enjoy the view as well as the cows, horses and sheep.
“This home has a lot of space in the common areas (large kitchen, dining room, living room, and very generous craft/game room), so it's perfect for either a couple or family stay. Stephanie and her husband Willie are VERY hospitable, even brought us fresh tomatoes and eggs from their farm to add to our Saturday night grill-out meal. The home is on their working farm, which we loved because we enjoy seeing the animals, seeing the family as they go about their farm chores and learning about the history of the farm, and also being able to wander for miles on the farm roads right near the house. The home is within 15 minutes of NPS-owned trails and other access to the Current River, so it's a great location for hiking, rafting, or fly fishing trips, and if it's a rainy day the home is spacious enough to be comfortable spending the day reading or crafting. We will definitely be back here, probably next time with our family.”
Enjoy a peaceful stay within walking distance of Dillard Mill. Relax on your private patio, fire up the grill, and finish the evening around your own campfire. Sleeps up to 4. Self check-in and out for added privacy. Pets are welcome for $50 per stay.
“I was looking for a place for my son and I to get away that was remote but still had a Wi-fi connection that I had to have and would allow my fur babies to come too. Once I saw a picture of Jay, Evan and Elliot's place I had to book it. It is in the rolling hills of Missouri off the Cuba exit. So not only is the property beautiful but it is also a pretty drive to get there. We were in the cottage and had more than enough room for us and the two dogs. The cottage is very clean and let me tell you that my dogs spent most of their time glued into the dog beds that were provided which is a first! The kitchen had plenty of pots, utensils, glassware and plates. There is a wide variety of books and DVD's for when you are inside (though I doubt you will spend much time inside) and for your jumbo marshmallows a nice fire pit outside to make the perfect s'more. Jay was a wonderful host! We enjoyed learning about the history of the property and for the 411 of where to fish (Jay has poles just in case you forgot yours) and hike along the trails. Dillard Mill is right down the road from their place and it is beautiful there! If you like to take photographs Dillard Mill is a perfect spot for it. We enjoyed exploring the old barn at Jay, Evan & Ellliot's place and taking in all the beauty around us. Their place is very tranquil, peaceful and I enjoyed the silence which is something I never get in my city dwelling. I look forward to going back!”
